  1. Once again chapter nine seemed a bit boring, for not a lot of interesting events took place. I thought it to be dull because all that happened was Katy’s grandmother coming over from Cincinnati to visit them and the baby being expected any time soon. It’s amusing how Katy mentioned that her grandfather died really young at the age of 27 and looked like a boy and if her grandmother were to meet him in heaven would he still be young and she a gray haired old woman. I also found it funny how Katy and Austin seemed to play a game of only tragedies and disasters.

  2. Its summer it’s the time when katy’s granny comes all the way from Cincinnati to visit her family, the granny only visits them during the summer because that is the only time everyone would be actually be home, katys father and katy went to the train station to pik up the granny when tey got there gramny was waiting already for them she came with some baby cloth and a couple of pink blankets for the new born baby. I always loved it when my granny comes to vists us either because I don’t mind spending the rest of the time with my granny beause she is the only gr4andparent alive that I have while growing up.

  3. Gram, who comes Katy's house every summer, comes early this time for the baby that Katy's mother has. Katy's parents do not care weather it is a boy or a girl, but Katy really wants a brother. Austin is Katy's best friend in my thought. They make the games they play for fun. Because it might be Katy and Austin are young to play together, but I really miss my old friends when I have read this chapter.

  4. Chapter nine wasnt all that interesting for me. Katy's granmother just came form cincinnati for a visit. I thought it was funny how Katy asked her grandmother if she went to meet wiht her granfather at heaven and because he died at a young agewould he still be the same as in looking young and her grandmother being the grey haired women. I thought that was really funny, she makes her granmother look so old. I thought it was weired how she plays game, because it's not lady like not to mention i forgot her age, lol. That disaster game was so confusing, it sounded as if they were playing that star wars thing.lol

  5. This chapter is funny because Katy wanted to follow her father to the ASYLUM but, Katy’s father won’t let her until her got tired. I think it’s nice to see Katy and her father can get along easily. Also in this chapter the scary part was that Katy heard a women screaming for behind the walls. I notice that the asylum is actually for people who are special. I love the way that Katy care for people sometime it makes me think that Katy is a special person. I think that Katy would grow up loving every people even though they got three eyes or four legs, Katy will still love and care for them. That’s why I love Katy as my character.

  6. Katharine’s grandmother visits in this chapter. She also said “Tsk” to when Katharine said “Our grocery boy was marked on his face because his mother was frightened by something hideous and placed her hand just so.” She tried to imitate and pleaded that it was why “marked.” Of course, that the grandmother knew it wasn’t true; to top it off Katharine told Gram that Peggy told her. Although Gram understands that it wasn’t true, she didn’t get mad at Peggy which was good. Damn old days, playing with girls, and not knowing anything, looking so innocent. Funny how they keep repeating “Tragedy and Disaster!” Not much to be said in this chapter, only that they played most of the time and Katharine go to spend a lot of time with Gram.

  7. This chapter was king of boring because it’s mostly about Katty’s grandma. Her grandma is coming because of the baby. And I guess Katty was really happy to see her grandma but I felt so sad because that remind me about my grandma. Also, I felt bad about Katty’s grandma because her husband died when he was only twenty-seven, which means she took care of Katty’s mom and uncle by herself. I think she had a hard time. It was funny when Katty and Austin played “Tragedy and disaster”.
