Chapter 18 - Son of a Mob
Please post your thoughts about the character and events on chapter 18 of the Son of a Mob here.
I haven’t finished reading the story but so far I think that this is the best chapter I have read. He reason to this is because when Vince went to confront Ray about him knowing that he is a cop, Vince found out things that totally took him off guard and so did I. Especially the part where Vince asked Ray if his dad was guilty for the Calabrese crime, then Ray told him no, but that he knew who was. I was absolutely flabbergasted when I found out that Ray had the tape of Vince’s “MOTHER” ordering the hit, and right before she does it’s Kendra’s voice that comes on, in a song. So that’s why her father doesn’t bring work home because it was due to her that he lost important evidence and also it was because of Kendra that Vince’s mom isn’t in jail. Things are really starting to make sense to me.
This chapter kept me up; it just keeps getting better and better chapter after chapter. In this chapter Vince went to confront Ray about what he did and about being a cop, he went there to confront him and found a lot more things. There was this part where Vince questioned Ray if his father was guilty and he said no but he knew who was, that was crazy was thinking to myself that he was after all the business and things. But he wasn’t Ray has a tape of Vince’s mother ordering the hit, and at that moment Kendra’s voice comes in on a song. That’s the real reason why her father doesn’t bring his work home because of her. He lost important evidence because of her. This chapter was confusing but interesting.
Hands gripping, body sweating, mind twisting- I was half curious and half worried how the tape would go on. Vince's mother, the real culprit, almost screamed out the execution, until Kendra's recorded singing just cut the critical moment. I sighed in relief, thinking what might have happened without lifesaver Kendra. I bet Anthony Luca and his family owe alot to Kendra if they ever saw the video. That's not the only thing that shocked me; how could Vince's mother, the calm, gentle, and smooth lady that cooks sweet dinner, be the one to order the command of death?! I can't even imagine my own mom doing the same. I guess if you're in The Life once, you're in it till the end. The story's tenstion really does get more interesting by the chapter. I'm so stuffed by the exciting situations from the previous chapters, but I must take in more drama that's keep on coming. I can't wait until the last chapter, where the end of the story comes.
This chapter shocked that a person related to Vince was a cop. Jimmy was him who tried to catch Vince's father to disguised himself as one of those uncles. When I finished to reading this chapter, I sat on my chair and thought about how fearful life would be in the society. I know that he is cop and doing a right thing, but I imagine that a person I trust will betray me in any case. However, this is totally turning over from how I expected, so I like it.
I was so excited when I read this chapter because now I know that Ray is an inside man. After Vince found out that Ray is a cop, he went to his house. I was so shocked when Ray holds a pistol and pointed at Vince. I was wondering how he could do that to Vince because I know they spent a long time together. And the climax of this chapter was when Vince found out that his mother was the one who commanded to kill someone. I couldn’t even imagine his mother was related to that case. I think the last two chapters will be more funny and impressive.
Here I think that ray is a very honest man to vince because when vince asked who ordered the call for the calabrese crime, ray showed vince luka the tape he heard the mothers voice and then sooner or later he hear kendras’s voice a voice that sang a beautiful note, that’s why kndras father never brought home his work because itwould get ruined this way again, ray here confessed to vince luka that he is a police officer, vince didn’t mind because as vince was growing up ray was looking after him when ever vince neede him ray is there..
i really enjoyed this chapter and cant wait to find out the end of it all, so amazing and i feel like as if im in the story, picturing im Vince..when Vince goes to talk to Ray, i thought in the beginning it was a really bad idea, but really i think its okay because he found out more then he went there for. Agent Bite-me was always trying to pin the Calabrese murder on Vince's father, but he never found the evidence because of Kendra and her karaoke.Ray makes Vince listen to the tape where Vince's mom orders the hit.i never knew itd be her i thought itd be one of the uncles, but instead, the loving lady was it..Kendras voice came up on the tape and then that moment Vince knew why agent bite me doesnt work at home, but Vince is actually lucky because if it wasnt for her, he wouldnt be having a nice dinner after all...
In this chapter there was even more tension than the other chapters. There was a lot a lot tension because Ray was Mob’s spy and Vince started to know. Also Ray put a gun to Vince’s head which was scary, but it was also sad because they were so close and this situation happened. Anyways Vince in great shock and disappointed.
