  1. I found chapter fifteen to be the best one yet because interesting events took place. My least favorite part was Katy’s birthday party because all that happened were the things that usually takes place at a birthday party. My favorite part was when Katy’s father got a phone call which seemed to have caused so much commotion because he called Mr. Bishop and they both left to Jacob’s house. Apparently Jacob ran away. What I found most interesting was what Katy’s mom found in Mary’s room that made her scream, call Katy’s father back home, and forbid Katy from going in. It really puts me at the edge of my seat to find out.

  2. Katy had her nineth birthday party with her friends and Jacob did not showed himself. It was so excited to wear a new dress and hair ribbon and had fun with her friends. That night, Katy's mother got a call from Mr.Stoltz and his son Jacob had disppeared. Katy, included her all family, surprised. They all went out to look for Jacob everywhere, but he did not came back for long. He could not speak and his mind age was about younger than Katy, so everyone worried for him.

  3. It was the day of Katy’s birthday, she had a lot of fun with her friends and her classmates from school who even came to celebrate Katy’s birthday. It was almost dark everyone left home Katy and her family were cleaning up as they were all cleaning up they felt a cold wind that just went by, they rushed into the house before the rain could reach them. They al went to bed but Katy couldn’t go to sleep because all she kept thinking of is Jacob Stoltz. Katy went to sleep, she awoke in the middle of the night because she heard someone opened the front door of their house ands walked up the stairs, she thought to herself and said that she’s just dreaming, when she tried to go back to sleep she heard the telephone ringing. If I was hearing things like someone opening the front door of our house I think I would be still as a concrete, I don’t want to experience things like that.

  4. Happy birthday Katy. So, it's Katy's birthday and she invited all her friends to join her. Everything went well like the usual birthday parties typical nine years old birthday parties. I like the beginning of the chapter when they said Katy's appearance it sounded cute. I also like the part where Katy's father tried to make everytnhing look right just for her. The part i found interesting was when they got a phonecall from the stolzes and found that JAcob had gone missing. I think it's really sad becasue he doesnt really communicate with people. His really a silent boyy.I also found the part where KAty's mother found something in Mary's room that made her scream that was throught the ending of the chapter, i wonder what it was, and i can't wait to find out.

  5. This chapter is sad, funny and nice. The reason why I think its funny is because Peggy never heard of the game pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. The other reason why I think this chapter is nice is because Katy is having another birthday party and she’s inviting all her friends. The reason why I think this chapter is sad is because Katy wanted to invite Jacob to her birthday party but Peggy said that Jacob had never had a birthday party before or even been to one so she not sure that Jacob can handle being around a lot of people he does not know. I think it’s nice of Katy to do such thing for Jacob, it shows how much Katy cares for Jacob…

  6. Chapter 15 – October 1911
This part really freaks me out. Especially when Katharine says “Jacob Stoltz reentered my life in a new and terrible way” I just wonder what did he do or what happened. At the end they talk about Mary’s room and then I start to wonder is Jacob in there? If so why did the mother also say to Katharine don’t go into Mary’s room and why would she hide Jacob if she knew? It’s just creepy that he would do that and although he likes her, someone must teach him the proper way to actually socialize. It’s just scary you know finding someone you like in your house, hiding and you didn’t even know. So far I am becoming more curious about what’s happening now and interested on what happens next.
