Chapter 8,Mikey’s death is so sad…I’m starting not to like this book! When Teri was going to jump out the window, I thought she was going to suicide herself or something, but she just wanted to go to her house and sleep there. It kinds crept me out that she wanted to go there alone, I’m that kind of person who’s scared of the dark. Thank God Kate followed her, Teri might of done something to herself and make the situation worse. I feel so bad for Teri, it’s like she cared for Mikey more than Mrs.Litch does. I hope Teri doesn’t do anything stupid or harm anyone out of her anger.
this chapter was all about Mikey's death. Not only Teri but also everyone, including Kate, her father, Toby, and Teir's mom, was in a sad mood. It was still ronic that Mikey died of a massive electrical shock because I thoght that Mikey could be a more important character who would bring more situations and make more connections between others. In this chapter, Teri still could not let this misery go. Even though Kate tried to help out Teri, she refused it...If I were Teri, i might ask for some helps from others because it will be hard for me to endure Mikey's death by MYSELF.

This chapter was on Mikeys death. And I strongly agree with Bomi.. I had strong beliefs in Mikey being a reason for Teri to change her ways, maybe. Kate tries to help Teri out, I guess Teri is not used to receiving a helping hand.. She denied her help.. Denying was not a good decision, but she could always seek for help. Probably in the next chapter or so, she will be wiser to seek for help.. She has to crack down someday, its too hard.. FOR ANYONE! Kate’s family is being really supportive too. The father, her brother and herelf. I really don’t like this book, its too depressing.!
I never thought that Mikey would die, it was unbelievable, and totally out of nowhere. I always thought of Mikey being the deus ex machina to resolve everything that he was the person that put everyone to take care of each other. I really wonder now, if Teri was the mom, because when Kate asked her dad; he avoided the question. I feel Teri would react angry towards this issue, and maybe burn the house down. I wouldn’t like to live in a house which one of my siblings or my own children died in. I would really feel sorry for her if that was her child, and hoping she doesn’t attempt suicide.
This book just keeps getting more sad. I really think that Teri should try to at least calm down, and let someone try to talk to her. I think that she should appreciate the fact that Kate and everyone else wants to be there for her. I hope that she does not do anything to hurt or kill herself. I don’t think that it is a good idea for her to hold a grudge. I think that Teri is not used to letting anyone help her. If I were Teri, I would try to talk to someone.
Mikey died of a massive electrical shock in his big-boy room. I think that Kate, Toby, Sara, and Travis are stupid for painting over Mikey’s hand mark on the wall. They are so stupid for throwing paint all over the wall. I don’t blame Mitch for ditching like that; they were disrespecting Mikey’s room, they were disrespecting what Teri did for Mikey in that room. What if Teri wanted to go back and see the hand print? She couldn’t because it wouldn’t be there anymore due to the fact that Kate was being careless and didn’t think of what Teri would think about what they had done to Mikey’s room.
