  1. Chapter three
I feel sorry for Kate because she didn’t get accepted to MIT. If I was in Kate’s position I would’ve reacted the same way. I understand what Kate is going through. The part that kind of cracked me up was when she burned her MIT envelope in flames. Her dad didn’t really comfort her that much; he’s really busy with work that he rather pay attention to other peoples nonsense problems than his own child. To Kate her whole world fell apart. I hope Kate doesn’t stay like this forever, a lot of people tried to comfort her but she kept pushing them away. Chapter three was pretty long and very detailed; Teri and her brother are now living with Kate, it seems like Kate’s life is falling apart. The book is getting a little interesting. I hope Teri doesn’t kill Kate in her sleep since they are sleeping in the same room.

  3. Kate received her letter from MIT. The result was “NO”. They regret inform Kate to come MIT. She shocked. Actually, his father took the envelope to her school and Kate and her father pen in school. She really upset. She keep think why she couldn’t go to MIT. Then she will try again. She will figure out other ways. She really wants to go to MIT. I’m very sorry for Kate. Because I’m a junior so I’m almost senior so…I feel like nervous because I’m goanna go to the college. And I want to go good college. Like MIT!!! I’m now learning to English but after I teach another person. I want and I hope.

  4. i guess my assumption was wrong, she didnt get accepted, but i dont think she should stress out so much, what she should do is find out where it went wrong and why they didnt accept her.after she finds all that out i think she should apply again,i mean it doesnt hurt to try again.i know if i was in her shoes id feel so down and shocked, but i really think she should try again and if she doesnt make it, there are a million good schools out there.from this chapter on, i hope it gets interesting, im a senior and applying to colleges so i hope this doesnt happen to me....:(

  5. Like I said in my chapter 2 comment, she should’ve applied for other colleges. She doesn’t get into MIT and now she feels like crap. I understand how she expresses her anger towards Mitch, and it’s similar to me when I am mad. It’s funny and the likelihood of her and some other Kate Malone have the same name, same college, one gets accepted, the other doesn’t. Her theory was great but that’s like a probability of 100:1. Good luck Kate, I think she’s wasting her damn time. It’s interesting now, how her life is getting miserable and more miserable. I think Teri might do something to her, steal, confront her, whatever, Teri is giving a attitude. If I were Kate I would chase her out, her un-appreciating behavior, and in my house, yeah right. Teri’s little brother who I feel sorry for, and the mom, why does the mom need time? Did Teri burn the house or what!

  6. She could not accepted...and she felt miserable and hopeless.. However, she does not give up her hope and keep believing that the university made a mistake. I felt that she is very arrogant and self-confident abour herself. If I were her, i would have applied for several universities for my own safety.

And another part, she mentioned about Teri and her family. As i guessed, her family was not a rich class..and for the worse, their house was fired. Now Kate and her father have to work for restoring Teri's house..BUT I really felt bad about Teri's attitude. She is a rude thief. she does not know how to appreciate and does not know how to talk POLITELY in front of elders. I dont know yet...what to come next but I think she will be the problem.

  7. Poor Kate… I feel sorry for her that she is not accepted to MIT. I know how she feels, MIT was the only college she applied, MIT was the only hope for her, but miracle didn’t happen. If I were in Kate’s situation I might just give up everything and just live my rest of life enjoying. She work that hard but she didn’t get what she wants..the result is definitely abysmal for her. Though she failed, I hope she learned a lesson from it and find other good college where she can get in. It is not a end of the world, I hope Kate keep it up what she’s doing.

  8. Omg. HOW TERRIBLE! SHE DIDNT GET ACCEPTED! I THOUGHT SHE DID! or maybe, its just cause I gaze off during the book. Its so boring. Oh and I got the Bully's name. Teri. She is a rude, st*pid theif. Kates father is helping Teri's family out. There house was burned. Teri is so selfish and ungrateful for their support. She is so lucky Kates father has a heart!!!! I would SLAP TERI UPSIDE HER STUBBORN, SELFISH, UNGRATEFUL, INPOLITE BEHAVIOR TOWARDS THE OLDER ONES!

  9. Oh my god!!! How sad… Kate didn’t get accepted into MIT. I feel really bad for her. She is a really smart kid, and didn’t get in. hopefully she’ll try and go to another college. I think that if I were in Kate’s situation, I would’ve reacted the same way. I don’t blame her for the way she acted. I understand what she’s going through. I was a little bit shocked about her dad. He didn’t even comfort Kate like how other parents would. He is just too caught up in work and everything. He should pay more attention to his family because they are more important.

  10. Chapter 3
    Galvanize
I think this chapter is going to be about a substitute teacher that he was going to make the class watch a movie title Alice in wonderland and for Kate the movie was boring for her well that’s what I think this chapter going to based on

  11. In this chapter, I’m felt so pity for Kate, because she is so smart and independence like that, and she has a wish for all if she want, but, this wish was to go to the devil, whoever, I think it is so sad, and that is a bad news for her. Another part is about Teri and her family. Whatever, I always understand a truth, it is when you fall into the trouble, then, more trouble will appear, like Kate, I know, she was vexation, but also, that is an ordeal.

  12. Kate father got the letter from MIT in the morning and brought it to Kate’s school. Kate got rejected. I feel sorry for Kate because that was the only school she applied for. For someone so smart she only thought of applying into one school, she wasn’t even sure if she was going to get accepted or not. This is a lesson everyone should learn from: apply to as many colleges as you can in case you don’t get accepted into the one you wanted to go to you have other options. What’s worse is that Kate’s enemy’s house got burnt down and has to live with Kate until her house is fixed. Kate and Teri don’t get along to well when they were little and I wonder if they are going to kill each other at the end.
