  1. Chapter 7
Being humiliated, even though parents are just lecturing, gets really annoying to me. Even if I have a reason for something I did, they just say to me “Don’t talk back.” I just think that they should at least hear me out. But luckily for Amy, she can give reasons; it’s just that from what I’ve read so far, they don’t believe her as much. Amy finally gets to have a chat with her grandmother, she feels a small feeling of love, and I think that is really nice.

  2. Amy has a short talk with Ron about the incident, and finally goes into the room to meet her grandma, or Safta. I think Safta is a generous person, and she understands Amy situation. I also think Amy is comfortable and glad to meet Safta. Amy shares the same room with O’snot. They don’t really like each other now, but they might become close friends later. I’m curious to know what will happen between them. Amy takes a shower and decides to change in O’snot’s room. She doesn’t realize that the person in the room is Avi, not O’snot. I think O’snot planned this in purpose to make Amy get in trouble.

  3. I don't think that she should get to know her cousin SNOTTY if her cousin doesn't want to get to know her. I think that O'snot is just like Amy but a little more different. It's just that Amy is alot worst than Snotty. Snotty hasn't really tried her very best to even open up to Amy, so why should Amy do the opposite and do show her how she really is and all. I think Amy will really get to know and maybe really like her grandmother after all. But there was one thing there in chapter 7 that really made me laugh like hell... laugh out loud!!!
That was the part when she thought to herself, maybe her cousin would think she was a dork for changing in the restroom and to even be embarrassed in front of her. When she thought that that was Snotty, but instead it turned out to be Avi the No-shirt-cute-jerk.

  5. Chapter 7
I think that being humiliated makes us feel like talking to them even if they have done it more than once. I think that Amy shouldn’t get to know someone especially if they don’t want to get to know her. Like Snotty and Amy, they just seem like they don’t want to get to know each other. Also how snotty hated Amy even before he got to know her. However her father is curiously concerned why in the first place she ran away and head to Safta’s, but if that was me I would do the same thing especially if my blood family don’t accept me for who I am and don’t even want to know about me.

  6. Chapter 7
Amy has this thing where she likes to judge people. I think that Avi was right. Amy should give it a chance and don’t judge before she gets to know people. She is so aggressive like she’s ready to battle for the verbal war. She thinks that some of her family hates her. So that’s why she’s getting ready for it. I think she’s crazy for thinking like that. Maybe it’s just the way they look but, maybe, as she gets to know them, they’re not bad at all. I felt happy for her when she actually gets to talk to her grandma. The first moment she talked to her, she already likes her. I would definitely feel the same way, too. I’ve never met my grandparents but I would love to sit with them and chat with them about anything.

  7. In this chapter she finally gets to meet her Safta. I think that they will be getting along just fine. Amy’s Safta likes her and says that they will be getting along just great, but I just hope that Amy doesn’t ruin anything and just goes with the flow. I think that Amy’s Safta really feels for Amy and wants to be there for her. I think the effort of her grandma trying to do so much in little time is the most nicest thing someone has ever done for Amy.

  8. Well, Amy DID overreact a little when a few dogs chased her. She didn't really have to jump on top of the no-shirt-guy (now revealed as Avi) and try to make it a big deal. At least O'snat is not going out with him; If they did, Amy would've been in deeper trouble!
I think it's such a good thing for Amy to finally meet her Safta and start to know her now. Although it was only a few minutes, they seem to connect together very well as if they'd known each other for decades. Through this trip, I hope Amy learns about her past and her current family, and also about how to change her cynical attitude.
Another huge embarassment- her body exposed to Avi! I can't believe Avi didn't say anything until Amy saw him lying in the bed, and I also can't believe she didn't notice him there. If I were in her situation, I'd already die in humiliation and shame right in the spot.
This whole vacation story is getting more intresting as the chapter goes by!!

  9. Okay in this chapter now Ron is really showing his protective father side. Ron should’ve listen to what Amy had to say because half of what he said wasn’t even true. O’snat doesn’t like Amy, obviously. Maybe she’s trying to ruin Amy’s summer vacation after all. In Chapter 7, Amy finally talks with her Safta; it’s a touching moment for both of them. Her Safta sounds nice, I kind of thought she would’ve be judgmental. I was wrong. This chapter is getting more interesting! Avi, the no-shirt, cute jerk saw Amy naked! That’s so messed up. Poor Amy! Her summer vacation has just begun.
