In this chapter, Jimmy the Rat shows up to Vince's school parking lot and begged Vince to speak to his father on his behalf and give him more time. Do you think Jimmy is sincere about his request? I understand Jimmy Rat's dilemma of needing more money and the fear of the consequences, but trying to use Vince to change the head Luca's mind is wrong. It's like bothering Vince's life and will- the one where Vince doesn't want to be part of The Life around the Luca business. Sure, may be Jimmy had at least a little of candid sincerity, but it's not what Vince should be really caring about. If it's Jimmy Rat's problem, it's ONLY Jimmy Rat's problem. Plus, the whole thing is about money Jimmy couldn't pay back. If I were Vince, I would give consolation but no more.
ReplyDeleteConfusion in my head would be messing up every particles of behavior in my life if this kinf of situation is in my case without my intension. I imagine myself that there is a girl which I should not fall in love, but if there is thing we could not control ourselves in the whole universe with manpower is "love". Exactly, Vince's situation does not matter with me, but when I just pretend to put it in my situation, it drives me crazy.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the events that take place in this chapter. Especially the part where Alex, Vince’s best friend gets a comment from Fiona the girl in their new media class on his website. It is so funny how all of a sudden Alex convinces himself that she is so madly in love with him. It is kind of stupid how he asks her out and she rejects him that he then thinks she is the devil incarnate. That was my favorite part. I feel bad for Alex because he seems to be left out, and so does Vince because he wasn’t there to give him advice on the situation with Fiona.
ReplyDeleteThis chapter is when the mystery starts. It's the chapter where you'll keep reading and readingand you never want to stop because it gets even more interesting... First of all, when Alex gets that message on his sight from this girl, he goes crazy thinking she has a big crush on him, but truth is she doesn't. the best part of this chapter was about Vince and Jimmy Rat. Vince has a good heart and doesn't want Jimmy's fingers getting cut off, but Vince always said he never wanted anything to do with his father's business. well, this is it. he's in it and doesn't know where to turn to. if i was Vince, even though i knew some one was going to suffer the consequences, whatever it may be, i'd stay away from the business as much as possible because i wouldn't know what to expect.

He asked Vince to do it because I think he knew Vince would have his back. Yes, I think Jimmy is only using Vince. This chapter was really interesting for me, but I think Vince made the wrong choice by taking the money. I mean business will be business and the littlest things can get you involved. Now Kendra is really curious, how dumb, like that business will be on the article, the Lucas will be behind bars if ever it was published.
ReplyDeleteIt was after school when Vince Luka was walking out to his car with Kendra Bightly Vince happened to see someone sitting on the top of his hood, and that someone was Jimmy rat, jimmy rat asked and begged Vince Luka to talk to his father if he could extend his due dates for paying up his debts. Vince went home and told the father who he saw today but the brother wasn’t really happy about this when he heard Vince continually telling to the father, Tommy Luka kept trying to tell Vince to stay bout of it because he has nothing to do with this business..

ReplyDeleteIn this chapter I saw Vince is really worrying about Kendra because he doesn’t want her to know about his father. And that reality made him lied to Kendra. And this chapter was kind of interesting because Jimmy came to see Vince to ask for help. But I think Vince is a weak hearted person because when Jimmy came to see him, he didn’t refuse it because he felt bad for Jimmy. But I think Jimmy is trying to using him. I was surprised when he took the money from Jimmy because he always doesn’t want to do something that relates to his father’s business.

ReplyDeleteAlex gets and e-mail from Fiona. A girl in his New Media class. She liked his Web site. Alex thinks she is in love with him. But when he asks her out she says No! Alex is angry and thinks she is the devil. Dendra tries to make him feel better but Alex is still mad. Alex is about to tell Kendra that vince's family is in the mob. Vince grabs Kendra's arm and says 'Let's go!'. Kendra and Vince walk out to his car. Vince sees Jimmy. Jimmy works for his father. Jimmy wants Vince to give some money to his father. Vince gets angry and tells him he is not in that business. Vince grabs the money so Kendra won't see what is happening. Vince takes Kendra to her job at a day care center. Vince goes in to the day care and puts his jacket down. Then a little boy takes the money. Vince gives his dad the money and tells his dad to be with rest of the money. When will Kendra find out the truth about Vince's famely. So I feel nervouse.
