Chapter 11 - How to Ruin a Summer Vacation
Compare Amy's behavior from the beginning of the book to this point of the book. Has she changed a bit with her personal perspective of the her loved ones, her friends and Israel in general? How about her Avi, does she see him differently now?
Chapter 11 I guess she still doesn't like Avi, even though she thinks he is very attractive. It makes me laugh how she hates him the way he is and at the same time she is relating him to a model. I think it was also hilarious that she chased Mutt around the place just to get her slippers! But too bad she ended up stepping on a DEAD snake and ended up unsuccessfully washing it and having Avi, who willingly took her own foot, to ash it! Heheh... I guess there might be a little spark between them going on. Hopefully, it gets a bit ore interesting with the rivalry about Amy and other people she will go to again!
Chapter 11 I think that Amy's behavior is changing towards her father's family. She's starting to feel at home and now she's been talking to several of her family members like with Doda Yucky, Matan, and Doda Yucky’s husband. She's getting closer and closer to them especially with her Safta. I also think that Amy’s views about Avi is starting to change. I think that she’s having second thoughts about him. I notice that she always describe him in a descriptive way. So I think she’s going to have feelings for him soon. I also think that Avi is always observing Amy. I think he’s checking her out or something. I think that Avi feels sorry for her so he sometimes helps her but I think he's doing this cause he likes her.
I think that even though Amy doesn't really like Avi that much she kind a thinks he's quite attractive a bit, but she just doesn't get how Avi would show how he's really mad at her and how he shows her he is mean. Especially when Amy step on the dead snake and when Avi led Amy to the hose and started washing her feet. I mean for a mean person i think that he or she wouldn't wash my feet and they might think who are you that i'm going to wash your feet. However i think that something is going to be interesting in the next chapter.
i think that amy is improving herself just a bit, though she still needs more improvment. her attitude toward her loved ones, friends and israel in general.. has to change for the better. she does good things and changes for the better good things will come to her. For example... Avi!!! Avi is the no-shirt-cute-jerk who is obviously the hot guy in the book and yah... i think amy like him, but in a way that can't always be simply explained in a way. Amy really changed in this chapter aside form the very beginning of the book. she was more than stubborn and selfish. she was everything in a really bad mean plastic chick you can name. But now that she's on this trip to israel, she has changed in a lot of way. Although like i said in the beginning, amy still needs a lottle more improvment with her attitude and she'll be just fine. About the attitude thing i think that she shouldimprove her attitude mostly towards her father the sperm donor (RON), her cousin snotty (O'SNAT) and no-shirt-cute-jerk (AVI).
This is a funny chapter because she had to go that far to chase Mutt to get her sandal back. I think that she really cares about her stuff. But I can’t believe she stepped on a dead snake. I mean, just think if it were alive it would be scary. I guess that it was meant to be when Avi washed her foot with his hand! Isn’t he afraid that his hands would be infected by the dead thing? He is a fearless man, I can tell you that. But other than that, it made me laugh.
Lol..i like how the little mutt took her sandal and made her chase after him.. that should teach her a good lesson not to say stuff that is not nice..and don't forget the part when she steps on the snake!!! I thought that was the best part.. what made laugh the most was when Avi helped her out and gave her a hand! I think that the most interesting part of this chapter was when he told her that he wouldn't apologize for watching her undress because he wasn't sorry and what he saw was BEAUTIFUL & NATURAL...
Comparing to the beginning, I think Amy is finally getting used to her life in Israel. Now she found a way to resist herself. Although, she still seems a little mean to Avi and O'snot. I think she sitll doesn't like Avi that much. She doesn't want to be good friends with him. Also, I think AMy really dislike dogs. When accidently stepped on a snake she is surprised, but Avi thinks it's no big deal. It was a good thing Amy and Avi were not yelling at each other like before. When Avi said Amy is cute, I had a feeling that Avi might like AMy in the future.
I really enjoy it when funny things happen to Amy (It's not that I'm an evil person who loves other's embarrassments...); still, hilarious situations make me laugh. I'm anticipating for more comedy in other chapters. I don't know if it's only me, but I'm quite sure that Avi is very constantly showing up when Amy is in a mess. Actually, I see him in almost every scene Amy's in; I also see a very thin love line that will appear soon! Although Amy keeps saying she hates Avi, I know she's interested in him. Every time O'snat and Avi are together, Amy feels a sense of envy even though she says she doesn't. I think they are going to be cute couples if they go out.
I think Amy hasn’t really changed that much her behavior is still the same to me. But her behavior to her Safta changed immediately when she started talking to her safta. However, I think she’s getting use to Israel and the way she looks at her friends are still the same, Snotty is still mean to her and Amy is still mean to Snotty, so I guess that’s the only love one her personal perspective hasn’t changed. She gets a long with her friends, except Avi I think she hates him even more because of how he approached with the whole snake stepping situation. He even told her straight up that he doesn’t want to apologize because people like him don’t apologize. Her perspective of Israel did change; she doesn’t really see it as a war zone anymore.
