Chapter 10 - Son of the Mob

Why do think it is quite hard for Vince to actually see Uncle Pampers sing and oodle in the Karaoke bar?

What do you think about Vince and Kendra's date?

    Vince takes Kendra to a bar, not just a bar, but a karoake bar.i think this is really nice of Vince because he knows Kendra loves to sing, so this is really special. Kendra breaks the knot and becomes runner-up. they enjoyed themselves until Vince sees Uncle Pampers step in, he wants to get away.i think Vince isn't scared of him, but his scared to get seen by him. it's understandable, he doesn't want Kendra to see him talking to an odd looking man.it was enough with Jimmy Rat...

    This chapter was not that much exciting, for not a lot of things happened. However; to me the best part was when Vince took Kendra out on a date to a Mexican restaurant that was also a karaoke bar. It was very sweet of him to have convinced Kendra to go up and sing not once but many times, despite her nervousness. But mostly I thought it was funny when Uncle Pampers walked in and performed, all the while Vince kept trying to avoid him. However; Vince finds out that he did, because in the end he was the one who covered their bill.

    Trying to pull out the courage and talent in Kendra by bringing her to a karaoke bar is really a good idea. She kept being nervous and being shy, thinking she can't do it, until Vince helped her out. It's the best way a guy could ever treat a girl; Romantic, entertaining... Since they both had a wonderful time, I think the date was a success.
    Overall, the most ironic part of the chapter is when Uncle Pampers sings. Not just any song- Yodeling! Think about it; a professional killer, who has a dark aura emanating just by his existence, yodeling in front of an audience. I think it's pretty funny and awkward to even imagine about it. Uncle Pampers is the kind of man who's everybody is afraid of(even Anthony Luca!), but unlike his reputation, he's enjoying himself sing. If I were Vince, I'd already taken photos of the rare scene.

    I think it was hard for Vince to see uncle Pampers sing in the Karaoke bar because it’s not like him, and he sees him as the best killer. It’s like seeing an old lady go bar hopping you know, it’s odd. As for Vince and Kendra’s date, I think it was okay, everything was going great until Uncle Pampers showed up. I feel bad for Vince because I know he really want to have dinner with Kendra’s parents but if he wasn’t a mob it would’ve happened already. Kendra now is curious and feels like Vince is hiding something from her.

    In my case on a date, anything does not thrill me but giving a surprise for my girlfriend makes me nervous. Also, every time I prepare for something on any bases, something big turn-over happens always which I never expected. For some people, this things might be stimulating an endorphin in life or the worst day in life for some. On the other hand, at the time that worst thing happened, we just wanted to hide in anywhere, but after time passed, it would be a good memory.

    Vince Luka had finally took Kendra Bightly on a date to a bar a bar that has karaoke in it, vince here realized or actually knew that Kendra would really love this place because of the karaoke in the bar, later on that night of their date vince saw someone walked in the door and that someone was his uncle, uncle pamper walked in the door and just got in and when to the bartender and grabbed himself a drink sat quietly there, vince was scared and just faced his back to his uncle because he didn’t want him to come over to him while on the date and he didn’t want Kendra to know either that that’s his uncle…

    This chapter is all about Vince and Kendra. Vince brought her to the karaoke bar because he knew that Kendra loves to sing. I think Kendra is a shy girl because Vince wanted her to sing at the stage but she said she can’t do it. Anyways they had a wonderful time at a karaoke bar. But the funniest part was when uncle Pampers came to karaoke bar and starts to sing yodel. I think Vince was surprised because uncle Pampers is one of the mobs one who has a power. It was really interesting because he was singing very well.

    Kendra and Vince go to karaoke bar. They eat Mexican food and drink a lot of coke. Kendra sings a few songs and Vince helps her. Then Vince's Uncle Pmpers is a very mean men. Uncle Pampers sings Karaoke and crowd goes crazy. Uncle Pampers leaves andsecretely pays the bill. Kendra and Vince go to back to the car. Kendra asks Vince to meet her parents. He is nervouse and says No! Vince is always nercouse.

    The book sends you in twists and turns, almost like a Romeo and Juiliet story. This was favortie book by far, I'm interested to see what Gordon Korman will do next.

    I would keep this book away from kids under 11. There's nothing X-rated, but there is some suggestion of sexuality. This is a great book for younger teenagers. I hope you love it as much as I did!
