Saipan Southern High School book club members and other island teens discuss their books of interest by writing their thoughts about the book choice of the month.
I absolutely love chapter five. It seems to me that things are just starting to get exciting again. I really liked the part where aside from all the chaos happening at the college party, Vince ends up making out with the reporter from school Kendra. But most of all the best part was when he realizes that the girl he is now interested in pursuing is actually the daughter of an FBI agent, but not any FBI agent, “THE FBI AGENT” who wants to put his father behind bars. I also found it funny how Alex was so exciting on attending this party and sure he was going to meet some college girl, but instead changes his mind toward end saying it sucked because he couldn’t find any girl that was interested in him.
to me Alex isn't a good friend. i mean would you like a friend who'd always put you down even if he has nothing. All Alex thinks about is girls, girls, and more girls. if i would describe him i'd say his a lousy dog. Vince isn't like most guys and thats what i admire about him.he's the kind of guy who wants to look back to when he first lost his virginity and say he lost it to the right person. at the party kendra was in some kind of trouble and when she sees Vince she lies he's her boyfriend, but Vince exagerrates alot. Kendra disappears into the crowd and Vince goes crazy trying to find her, i think he's doing this because he wants to make out more with her.vince always wants things done his way, he doesn't want anything from his dads business and this is good because if something goes wrong, he isn't involved.

Has Vince finally found the girl for his "love life"? I wanted Kendra Bightly to come out of the story again, after the football reporting incident. Both Vince and Kendra seem to connect, despite their parents' totally different jobs- something like a police and a burglar. It's funny to know that the person you coincidentally met belongs to a family of your rival. This shows the awkward beginning of an unexpected scenario that’ll twist the game around; maybe a relationship with the FBI’s daughter and the Mob’s son. The idea of chapter 5 is well set up of an ironic event that later brings questions about the result.
I like this chapter the most among the other chapers that I read before. I never imagined how college party would be like or the call girl thing. It thrills me and gives me tension even though I did not experienced them. Also, this whole chapter describes the Romeo and Juliet in my thoght, because there is this boy named Vince whose father is a mafia and Kendra, a girl, whose father is a FBI, liked each others.
Chapter 05: I didn’t really understand this chapter but I think that Vince’s best friend Alex is trying to hook up Vince and Kendra Brightly (the reporter). Although some of this part is kind of funny like Vince having lice. The funniest part is Vince having lice and it’s from Kendra Brightly. But Kendra said that she works at a day care which where she got the lice from… I really think that’s funny…. I think the crazy thing is that Kendra don’t have enough money to buy the shampoo so they got to share and Vince but the wired thing is Kendra’s dad is an FBI and Kendra’s dad knows what Vince’s is doing…
Chapter 5 Finally Vince Luka left the apartment where the hooker was at. Later on that very same night Vince and his Best friend Alex went into the city to go to a party where they were invited to go to, when they’ve reach their destination they both took a tour at the party where it’s so packed with people dancing everywhere while Vince was walking around a girl pulled his hand into the crowd and kissed him, the girl that is kissing him is the girl from his school she is a reporter there her name is Kendra Bightly, Vince found this party really exciting.
Vince leaves the apartment and heads over to this college party and meets up with Alex. When they reached there the place was so full with people dancing and you can hardly walk around. So Vince and Alex splits up to check out the party and when Vince was walking around a girl pulls him and kissed him. It was this girl from school named Kendra and they Kind of like each other, but I think its kind of funny because shes the daughter of an FBI agent and he's the son of a mob boss. Vince thought that the party was exciting but Alex thought that it sucked because he couldn't find any girls.
I was wondering what’s going to happen between Kendra and Vince. But after I read this chapter, I found out that Vince and Kendra start to have some feelings to each other. And I think he like the reality that Kendra’s father is a FBI. When I read this chapter I saw a Vince’s strong feeling towards his father. It reminded me that Vince doesn’t really wants to be a part of his father’s business. Vince has a strong mind and I was surprised that he’s not be shaken by any problems and obstacles. I think the story will be more interesting because of the relationship between Kendra and Vince.
Chapter 5 was pretty interesting for me. Vince walked away from the call girl and finds Alex waiting for him outside. Alex is thinking Vince is out of his mind. After all that they headed for the frat party. Shocking cause he met up with the reporter from the game Kendra and she lied to a drunken guy named Randy that she and Vince were dating. Vince acted as if everything was true but Kendra only did that so Randy can leave her alone. They were together for a while making out and all that and a fight occurred, and he lost her. It was a heck of a night for Vince. He walked out on a call girl, went to a frat party, met up with the reporter he chased at the football game, enjoyed some time with her, lost her, got spilled with a can of beer went home and found dad still awake. What’s more shocking is that Kendra the girl that’s still on Vince’s mind is the daughter of an FBI agent whose been trying to put Vince’s father in prison. I wonder what’s next.
Vince and Alex go to a party at NYU. The party is very loud, crowded, and hot. Everybody at the party is drunk. Many couples are dancing close. Vince walks around the party looking for kids from his high school. He sees Kendra Bightly. She calls him her boyfriend because she wants the other boys to leave her alone. Vince takes her hand and walks away. Kendra tells Vince her father works at the FBI so she doesn't drink. A fight starts and Kendra and Vince are pushed together, so Vince kisses her. She runs away and Vince leaves the party. He and Alex go home. Vince tells his dad what happend that day. I wonder what will happen next.
