Chapter 3- How to Ruin a Summer Vacation
Please post your comments for chapter 3 of How to Ruin a Summer Vacation here.
Amy and Ron finally arrives at Israel. At the airport, Amy sees Israeli soldiers and everyone there speaks in Hebrew. I think Amy feels strange because she doesn't understand Hebrew and because of the soldiers she sees. Ron tells Amy to waint until he gets a cart, but Amy doesn't listen to him and make Ron worry. She seems to feel sorry, but wouldn't express her feelings. Also, I think she is excited and worried at the same time. She is scared, and that's why she is continuing to show bad attitudes to Ron. On the other hand, I think Ron is trying his best to make Amy feel better about this trip.
They finally arrive in Israel, and Amy is still giving attitudes. I think she's scared because of all the Israel soldiers and their guns. I think she'd better shape up more than to keep acting up like that, because problems like that (her attitude) could get her into trouble. Amy's thinking that her own father also known as the Sperm Donor has kidnapped her and is going to make her become an israeli and go to the army. I think Amy is lost and confused about everything. I think that if she just gave her father a chance to open up to her and about his side of the story then maybe she'll start to open up to him too.
Chapter 3 Amy should at least listen to her father. She should know him more because in this chapter she made him mad. If she listened to Ron, she wouldn’t have lost a little trust from him for having a stroll in a place she has never been to before. So in this chapter, it gave me the chills just thinking what’s going to happen next because I know Amy is going to get in big trouble for not waiting for her own father to come back.
In chapter 3 she gets to Israel and she gets in trouble with the solders at the airport, then she told her father off and she told him about a guy she saw in her mother’s collage picture. And then she saw a coke machine and says she wants to get a coke , and that the coke machine is calling her Amy Amy Amy come get I know your hot , then I think she should just relax and just go with the flow and listen before she gets in trouble or get enrolled in the army for girls .
Its starting to get interesting. i don't know why but this girl is still trying to get back to her mom. She knows she has no chance of getting back to her so why try, but i know her situation because hey she was gonna go off to tennis camp for the summer but in comes her "fadder" that she barely even knows comes in and tells her that she is going to Israel. If that happened to mr i would definitely be devastated. All in all, the story is going good so far.
Chapter 3 This chapter freaked me out on how she wasn’t being rude and how it was just a teen with attitude. I myself wouldn’t give my father that respect, but in Amy’s situation she’s been through a lot especially when her father surprised her after sixteen years to show up. Amy was curious to know how her father would talk in different languages and begs her father to know what he says especially when the immigration officer asked her father if Amy is registered as an Israel citizen. However Amy heard that the middle east kids are usually taken away if they aren’t Israel citizens.
In this chapter amy is just acting nonsense. She is so unpredictable. I think she really really needs to loosen up, after all she is already in israel. I feel sorry for her dad, with a daughter like her who has a attitude, i wouldn't want to be in his shoes. Amy needs to not only think of herself but also think of her dad and her grandma and the point of her being there to show that she cares and that she want to be a partof that family.
Chapter 3 Amy can be such a naughty girl with her father because of how she doesn’t listen to him at times. She has this attitude, where if she wants it she’ll get it. For instance, Ron told her to stay put in this one spot in the airport but she didn’t listen because she went off and tried to get herself a coke. She could’ve just asked him to get it for her. Amy gives her dad a really hard time especially when it’s their first time being together. I think she should give him some respect and stop giving her dad a hard time. She just makes things so complicated. She should control her temper and behave well.
Chapter3: I think that Amy is over reacting. And Amy shoot just stay aside and let Ron do all the talking. Amy shoot stop talking back to Ron it is not nice to talk back to people that love you. And I think that Amy shoot try and make Ron happy for once in his life. And I know that Ron and Amy are going to be happy. Amy shoot be happy that she is going to meet her other side of the family because she never see them for 16-years in her life. And she is just over reacting cause she going to Israel.
Like what Amy kept doing in the previous chapters, she is acting like a spoiled brat in front of her father. May be she really does need freedom and some time to think over it, but what's already been made and done for should be already taken. It's not like she can twist back time and change the events that's happening, so Amy should start getting over the situation and stop the whining. I used to understand all of her discomfort and frustration, but it's starting to sound a bit annoying... I really want to write more detail in my reflection, but there wasn't any more intresting stories to write about. This chapter was quite okay, but there wasn't anymore fun parts or particular events. I don't know if the author's saving a scenario to show later, but the first few I've read had a little too much of dragging about Amy's complaints. I hope it's more intresting in the next chapter...
Chapter 3 I think this chapter is really funny!! She pisses Ron off, jeez! She hardly knows the man and here she goes pissing him off, testing his patience. Well, they finally arrive in Israel and the first thing she thinks off is Coke! She freaks when she sees how much it cost and she actually puts herself through all those trouble trying to get a coke. I notice that Amy’s attitude gets worse every chapter and I think in this chapter she over does it… or does she? Amy should loosen up and she should stop being so self-centered! I hate her attitude already, but the book is becoming more interesting and funny.
