  1. In Chapter 6, Sam and Clair was English classmate just like in the past. She was still smart student who always answer teacher’s question first. And it seems like Sam is jealous about Clair, because she was the teacher’s favorable student. Sam had a meeting with Mrs. Harriman, Sam’s mentor, on Friday. And she suggests Sam to take SAT for his college, but he had a deal with his dad already. He promised his dad that he will learn money from construction after graduation and pay all money back. Well it wasn’t Sam’s dream, he was interested becoming an engineer, but he couldn’t follow his dream, he had to take care of Max. I feel sorry for Sam that he can’t do whatever he wants in teenage life. Teenage life should be the most memorable time, but he is already thinking about working in the construction to learn money.

  3. In chapter six, I found out that Max’s moms name is Brittany. Sam seems more open about what he wants to do in college; he discusses his plans with his mentor and tells her he wants to work in a construction company, I kind of seemed absurd to me that he would want to work there. I know can Sam do better than that even though it has a good pay, he must know there are a lot of choices in the world, so he can support himself and Max. In the end of this chapter I think Max is quite happy that he has to be in a study group with Claire, possible time to catch up with each other.

  4. Seems to me that Sam has this thing about Claire, his whole world seems like to revolve around her. He must really like this girl, and will do anything just to try to be with her. I'm not sure though about this chapter seems like a complete waste of time reading. Only significant thing I found in this is that Sam ensures that he will pay his dad, I think that’s very manly of him and shows how responsible he's becoming. The main part of this chapter I think was to show how Sam is trying to better his education, or maybe he just wants to end up with a group with Claire Bailey so he can have sex with her? Remember that quote about boys thinking about sex every 8 seconds. Maybe he just wants Claire?

  5. I ultimately found out that the baby's mom is Britanny. Even though I read the part Sam and She slept, I was not sure about who will be Max's mom. However, i wondered about Sam's actions toward Claire. It seems like he has some feelings of her although he frequently talks about Britanny. I was confused a bit about his actual mind. Also, in other part when he was talking about SAT,college, and employment, I realized that he and i have in common. That is..he is also in the position of being a STUDENT who worries about his future and dreams. However, I felt sorry for him....because he seems giving up his dream to take responsible for feeding Max and caring his family.

  6. I think that chapter 6 was okay. I did not think it was really all that interesting to read. I think that Sam’s counselor, Mrs. Harriman is a really nice lady. She sounds really helpful and she gives really good advice to the students. I think that she is doing a good job by reminding Sam about taking college. She does a very good job on reminding him that even though he has a son, Max, to take care of, he should be aware of his options after he is done with high school. I know that it’s not that easy for him to go, but I do think that he should go to college after high school.

I think Sam should go to college like Mrs.Harriman had said. It would be much better than to work for a construction company. It may be good pay, but I know its not something that Sam wanted. He gave thoughts on taking the test, and I think he will take it. So anways, he talks to Claire and asks her about her daughter, the baby daddy etc. It really shows the he is once again interested in Claire. Claire seems to be a very smart girl. She has a daughter named Emily. So about Sam and Claire, they seem really happy to have met each other. Sam feels so lucky I can tell. I think from the way that they are sounding, they would make a nice couple. It may be too early to insist on that, but that’s what I think. If not a couple, they would really make good friends. They could be there for each other.

Sam starts to notice more things about Claire. He’s been wanting Claire to notice him so much. And Sam is always looking at her hair and by the that she moves. He does something for Max on the swing. Sam wanted Mrs. Harriman to know that he already knows what he is doing. Sam was said that it was freaking amazing when he saw max put the cheerio in his mouth. Sam was so shocked. Sam was just looking at Mrs. Harriman in a way that was so lost because she was talking to him.

Well this chapter maybe going to be about getting a bad grad on the important assignment that they were doing or maybe getting a job so he can live on his own or taking the SAT test and had no money to pay for it so maybe he ask a friend or I don’t know that is what I think this story going to talk about

When I read chapter six, is about Sam meeting with him counselor Mrs. Harriman, and they talk about what Sam think of his future. Mrs. Harriman hope Sam went to college, but Sam was never think about that, yes, because of Max, and other one reason is about his dad; but I just think he only 17 years old, and this age is to want to attend college. I know, if he went to college, he had no time spend with Max, but if he has no went to college, I think, have one day, he will regret. Sam was a charge boy, this feeling he still gives me.

My opinion Max is very cute. Because the way Max do is cute. And when the baby is here it is hard. Because Sam has to pick up one cheerio and put it into his mouth. It took him about half an hour. And then this part is about college. I think in college is very hard. But we need to go to college. I think...and Sam's situation is hard. Because he has baby. The babies are not listen what they say. They listen sometimes but they are not listen sometimes. Because baby can not think anything about what they are doing.

  12. Chapter 6
I think that what Sam chose for his future wasn’t really the best option for him. I don’t think that working at a highway construction isn’t the best thing to do. I understand that he wants to be responsible an pay his father back but that is just a risky job. What will happen if Sam died from his job? I think that what Sam mentor is trying to say is one of the best options to pick. An I also think that he just want to go for it because of the girl he liked. But I think it is a good option because if he goes to college an gets a major in engineering it will a lot easier for him to find a way better job than a high way construction job.

  13. Chapter 6:
I think that Sam still kinds of has thins crush on Claire. I know exactly how Sam felt when he entered Mrs. Harriman’s room. Sam felt nervous like he was going to take a big test that he didn’t even study for. I think that Sam wasn’t even aware about what Mrs. Harriman was going to tell him. I know Sam gets confused sometimes and he just dozes off until he falls asleep. Like I keep saying Sam is so stressed out that he is so left behind in Mr. Gott’s class. I think that Sam gets ashamed when people ask him what is he going to do after high school. I know that Sam got more stressed when he heard that he has to take the SATs.

  14. Sam was shocked that Claire Bailey was in his English class. They had to read the play “Othello” and Sam didn’t read it because he got so confused. I had to read the same exact play last month in my English class. I did read it but I didn’t get a single word. I bet Sam was thinking the same thing I was thinking when I found out that Shakespeare didn’t finish elementary school, “No wonder why I don’t understand what the play is talking about. Shakespeare made up more than a thousand words because he didn’t know what the real words meant”.
Sam had a meeting with Mrs. Harriman after school on Friday. They talked about him taking the SATs considering he had a great score when he took the PSATs. I have a friend that is much alike as Sam is; she did not want to take the SAT until she found out her crush was going to be in the same class that she was going to take the test in. As well as Sam when he did not want to take the SAT but then he found out that the person he admires is taking the SATs and they were going to be in the same study group.

  15. I really think that Sam needs a day off to do what he had to do like all his missing work and other things that is why I think he is failing and slacking off in school and I think that max’s mom needs to take some time to help each other in life because if that baby grows up to only know his moms name that will really hurt him because he grew up without her and that will really effect him in the way of becoming a great boy. His father needs a break to relax and at the same time he needs a time for himself.

  17. In this chapter, pressure is really hitting on Sam right now. He has to decide whether he is going to college or not. I can tell that it's going to be hard for him to do this especially with Max around. I was thinking that if he was going to college, who will take care of Max. Sam's dad is also working so this is a hard decisio for Sam. I just hope though that he doesn't think to give up Max. I believe that he can do all of this. He has Claire to help him out. I find Claire to be a really helpful friend in this kind of situations that has to deal with babies. I wonder whats going to happen in the next chapter.
