  1. Chapter 5
It seems as though Amy is upset now that Ron told her the truth that his family doesn’t even know about her or even know that she exists. For me, in that situation I wouldn’t know what to do or know what I would feel. Her temper is really bad if things keep going on like this. But at least she gets to meet the family and make some new friends. That way, maybe it will ease her problems.

  2. Amy and Ron finally arrive at Moshav. I can tell that Amy is still upset by the way she is talking to Ron. She meets her uncle, aunt, and her cousins for the first time. I thought Ron’s family would dislike Amy because they never new she existed until this day, but they didn’t. I think both Amy and Ron’s family is nervous to meet each other. Amy also meets four new friends in this chapter. I think these friends will help Amy a lot while she is at Israel. The names of the characters in this chapter are very unique. Some names would be Doo-Doo, Moron, O’ dead, and O’ snot. These names are not heard very often and I thought they were funny while I was reading. I wonder how the relationship between Amy and the new people she met will turn out to be.

  3. I think that she is freaking out about the whole family meeting each other thing. She's kinda nervous, but still can handle it. She just met these new friends names are: Doo Doo, O'dead and Moron. She's about to meet her family which she hasn't in a very long time, due to the fact that her father never mentioned her. She meet her uncle Chaim also known as Dod, her aunt Yikara but wants to be called Doda Yucky, her little cousin Matan, and last but not least her teenage cousin O'snot also known as Snotty but not for long.

  4. So Amy gets to a city and her dad talks to a guy that is guarding this gate then he says something and off they went pass the gates.
So she passes by a row of houses and patiently waits till they get to a stop. So they stop at this house and Amy stays in the car then all of a sudden she gets hit really badly on the arm then she looks and checks what hits her.

I was surprised when Amy was so polite when meeting the family. I thought that she would give her crazy attitude to them and all that but she didn’t. Actually, she was being such a nice girl to the people for the first time. I think that she’s going to feel weird, at first, being around with the family. She’ll get use to them when she gets to know them but sometimes she can be so critical when meeting new people. She thinks that all “gorgeous guys” are always the jerks. I absolutely disagree with her. I think that she shouldn’t judge them like that. She should get to know them first before she starts criticizing them.

  6. I feel like things aren't really going well on this chapter because Amy expects to know who or what's happening next. She shouldn't argue with her father because it's kind of rude, actually in a way it is, on how she would argue back or ask her father for a fight. Her father would tell her fair enough but she would ask for more and wouldn't want to be fair. She should just make things easier for her and her father and let things slide.

  7. So right now Amy is getting or starting to open up to her father. In the part where amy is leanig on the car and the three young boys come up to her, she is freaked out. She tries to say something but with the confused/i don't know what you are talking about look on their faces she thinks that they do not understand her language. I would think the same because i am in a whole different country where things are not like home. Also, she gets to meet her grandmother for the very first time.

Her father would tell her “fair enough” but she wouldn’t agree and would ask for more. I feel that Amy should give her father a chance so he could prove to her that he could be there for her and she should put her problems aside and enjoy the trip that her father is taking her to.

  9. In this chapter Amy is being introduced to the family. I mean she’s already been introduced. I was so impressed that she didn’t do anything crazy. I mean she is capable of doing those things. She was so polite I almost couldn’t believe it was her I was reading about. Then the time came where she was going to be introduced to her safta. I couldn’t imagine the feeling she had but after all she had no choice but to do it. She’s already there what’s there to miss out on.

  10. Amy is finally introduced to her Israeli family, and I think it went well. Although both Amy and her family didn't know each other existed, both are now going to learn a little more about each other. I really like the fact that she's going to find her roots and history now, even if she doesn't look THAT foward to it.
Haha! The family's names are so hilarious (Yucky, DooDoo, Moron, O'dead, O'snat.) I thought the book was joking with me or something- I mean, look at the names! I think it's really funny how O'snot really matches her name and personality- a real snot. Amy and O'snot really have somekind of tension and jealousy between themselves even in the beginning. I wonder how the two will get along in Amy's three month trip.

  11. This chapter is so funny! The people in Israel have funny names. Well, to them it’s no biggy, but to Americans it’s something we’ll be laughing out loud. Amy and her cousin O’snat share the same attitude. I wonder how Osnot will be treating Amy. I hope Amy gets along with her family. I know where she stands, however she should at least put in the effort of getting to know them. In the beginning of the chapter, it talked about a guy holding a machine gun. Just to think about a machine gun, I probably have the same thoughts as Amy. Well, besides the funny names this chapter was okay, but not all that.
