  2. While Amy and Ron is driving along the highway to go to Moshav, Amy observes how Israel really looks like. She realizes how different it is from what she thought it would be. I think she is actually interested in how Israel looks. When Amy finds out Ron never told his family about her, she is disappointed. I think she was hoping for some kind of expectation from Ron because he is still her father. She is also not being truthful to herself because she is afraid of how Ron really feels about her. I hope Amy realizes how much Ron worries and thinks about her.

  3. Chapter 4
I like the way Ron tries to be a great dad, since Amy’s mom is having the time of her life somewhere off back in the states. He worries about Amy and also gives her protection from bad things in Israel since bombings tend to happen there lately. I’m worried too when reading this because someone might lose their life in this story, and that would make it really sad. Hopefully, Amy will have some kind of hero, but that is just in my opinion.

  4. She seems to start getting comfortable with her father but still has that "iffy" side. She is going to learn that she is alraedy how many miles away from home, that she has to get comfortable with him. I think her father is a really good guy, he just made a wrong move seventeen years ago. He handles her with care, and he doesn't complain to her or say to her " Oh amy, i made a mistake with being with your mother in a one night stand". He goes on and forgets about the past and sticks to the present. He's trying to get used to having a father and tries to support his daughter and tries to make things right. He is a good guy. :)

  5. Chapter 4
I think that Amy finds a little guilt in herself after she purposely disobeyed her father. She tries to show this sorry-look on her face but I guess her father is so upset at her because he just kept ignoring her. I think that now she has come to realize that she has to be serious and stop being a pain in the butt. After the part when Amy’s father told her that his family doesn’t know that she exist as his daughter, I knew she felt it hit her hard in the chest. She was shocked and hurt at the same time but, I think, it’s just the beginning. It’ll heal after she is being mentioned to the family that she is the daughter of Ron, her father.

  6. I think that only a LITTLE change is comin' to her. I kinda felt bad for her when her father told her about how his mother, brother and his brother's wife (practically the whole family) don't know about her. She felt like she wasn't even meant to be born. I think she's finally realizing why her father even bothered to bring her on this trip in the first place.
She's feeling alot of pain right now in this chapter because of the shocking news her father had just told her, and frankly if i was in that situation, I'd probably feel the same way. But I really think that she will some how change during her stay here.

  7. This chapter excited me a lot. It tells me how Amy starts getting concerned when her and Ron, her father, spot the car rental and how he didn't bother to see if she was around. Well, my point about this chapter is that her father probably thinks that she is old enough to look out for her own safety especially at teenage age. Amy herself as well, should start growing up and stop whining about how things are going, thank her father for thinking on going on a trip so that they both can get to know more about each other "Like father, like daughter", as well as visiting her ill grandmother before it's too late.

  8. So as we all know Amy is in Israel and she’s starting to get the hang of it and she starts to like it there. Then I think she’s starting to regret what she did to her dad, so then her dad told her to look to the left and see the tallest building in Tel Aviv the Azrieli Tower. When Amy got off the plain she asks her dad about malls being in Israel. In chapter 4 Amy has started her day looking around and touring the city of TEL AVIV , I think Amy should apologize to her father for what she said in the first place and give him a hug and say thank you for all your time for taking me here and for me acting up was wrong sorry.

  9. Chapter4:
I think that it is great that Amy is with Ron. And I think that Amy shoot just stop overreacting when Ron say a little word about Israel .and just stop being mean to people and just change her life so she can make a lot of friend in her life. It is good that Amy is trying to make Ron and her mom get back together .I think that shoot be happy that she is staying with her aunt, uncle, cousins, and her safta and maybe when Amy stay with she is going to have fun with her family in Israel. I think that Amy shoot make Ron set the record straight so she can understand how he meet her mom.

  10. In this chapter she feels that change is not on her side. She still does not like her father. I’m beginning to feel that she really has this hate for him. It’s sad because now that there in the place where they will be staying she gives Ron a much harder time. After all this Ron tells Amy how he and Amy’s mom met and I think it’s great that he did. I think that Amy sees Ron as not the bad person after all. Now she can be a part of Ron’s family without the guilt feeling that Ron didn’t tell his family.

  11. It's time for a change, and I know Amy could feel it. I bet it's going to be difficult for her to get used to her homecountry she's never been to- she's already in panic when she heard that they're not going to stay in a hotel. At least she's starting to talk to Ron and open up a bit, although still very closed. Anyways, Amy is going to stay with him for the next three months, whether she likes it or not.
I didn't know that Israel was as modern as the other countries. I thought it'll be full of terrorists kidnapping people, soldiers blocking roads, bombings destroying buildings, and citizens living in haystacks or something- But I guess it's not the whole picture like it's nickname as the "war zone."
Now the serious tlak- her Israeli family doesn't even know she exists! I felt so sorry for Amy to think that she's an accident made by a one night stand out of plan. What a bummer. If I were Amy, I'd hate my dad and curse him for what happened and cry all the way to the moshav. I wonder where all this confusion and problem will lead to!

  12. Chapter 4
The beginning of the chapter was kind of boring… Amy is getting so irritating already just by reading the book. I find it funny how Amy thought Shopping Mall was called Moshav, which is totally the opposite. Towards the end of the chapter that’s when it started getting serious. It’s so sad how Amy had to find out that Ron’s family has no clue about her. I feel for Amy in this chapter, and now she has every right to stay mad at Ron. However, Ron tries to explain himself and maybe if Amy could’ve listened to him, she will actually understand him more. I feel sorry for both of them, I hope Amy doesn’t stay mad at him forever….
