Chapter 12 - Son of the Mob

What happened to Jimmy the Rat? Did he fulfill what promised? What did Vince end up doing? Who is Ed Mishkin and what does he have to do with Vince and Jimmy?

  1. I think this chapter is interesting because after the argument Vince had with Kendra she has been upset and suspicious about him. I like the part where Jimmy Rat visited Vince at school to give him the money he owed and put a keychain to Vince’s back that Vince thought was a gun and almost wet his pants. Also when Vince found out that Jimmy Rat put the money in the wrong locker, I thought it was hilarious. It’s so funny how Vince tries so hard to not have his dad’s business interfere with him and then he ends up helping two guys who owed his dad money.

  2. Well, it's such a relief that nobody was hurt yet,and that Jimmy Rat actually did something to pay back the $600. I almost killed my breath when Jimmy put the envelope in the wrong locker; It was funny, thrilling, and unexpected. At least nothing went wrong!
Although Vince keeps saying he doesn't want to be part of The Life, he ends up being in it. Now he's helping two people, Ed Mishkin and Jimmy Rat, from being hurt by the Luca clan. I think Vince is too sympathetic and weak hearted; he agreed to help immediately when Jimmy persuaded Vince to help Ed by using the great-aunt situation. It's good to know that Vince is kind and caring, but it shouldn't cost his personal life, privacy, and will. In addition, he's almost losing Kendra's strength, support, and faith. Their relationship is breaking up little by little just because of his dad's business. I feel sorry for them, and I wonder what will happen in the next chapter.

  4. Now, Vince is about to involving into his father’s job which is not quite good, but I’m not saying that he’s bad for helping his father. This chapter is more about and important than love. There’s one saying that friendship is more harmful than love, because it lasts longer. The manner between friends is not all about friendship we call, but anyone you feel that he or she is a friend of yours. In my thought, we should pay the true love to keep our friendship for sure.

Vince was in the hall ways at school he felt something on his shoulders and what he did was just stood there so scared thinking he was going to die in school with a single gunshot, then he heard a voice saying to him that he gots the money as he turned around it was jimmy rat with a key chain and laughing at vince, he told vince that he came to drop off the money that he owes the money to his father vince took the money and hurried to the bank and oput back the money that took out to take out of his bank to help jimmy rat pay up his debt.

  6. It was funny when Vince thought someone put a gun against his spine but it was a keychain instead of gun. When I read this part I could see his deadly pale face. When I read this chapter, I felt Vince is really into this job and I could see he’s in the part of his father’s business. And problem grew bigger because he decided to help one more people. I think Vince is thinking that he’s not in the part of his father’s business but to help and protect the others from his father. This chapter was really interesting.

  7. i really have dislikes in this chapter.cant vince think twice before taking a step?look at him, he's having so much trouble getting Jimmy Rat to pay up and yet he goes helping out another guy.he shouldve thought about the after effects.what if ed and Jimmy dont pay up?where is he going to get all the money for his dad...the part where Jimmy put the keychain to Vinces back scared me at first but its funny how Vince reacted to it. he's really losing Kendra.Jimmy put the money in the wrong locker and now Vince is in more trouble..

  9. This chapter was really interesting. This chapter is about Jimmy borrowed some money from Vince’s father and paying the money back. There were some problems. The problem was that Vince was involved in what his father does. He didn’t want to be involved but as Jimmy kept on helping he became more involved in the business. There were some many events in the chapter. The small problems in the chapter get bigger and bigger which gave some tension and because of that this chapter was really fun.

  11. The book "Son Of The Mob" is the perfect blend of something which, is very serious (mob-affiliation), and applying it to highschool life, something almost all teens can relate to. It is comedic excellence and had me yelling, gripped, and shaking my head at the misfortune and unexpected turns that Vince Luca takes.

  12. This is literally the best book I've read! It has a distinct voice, and a (very hot =P)believable main character. Sometimes it can be confusing, but once you catch up with the fast-paced action, you'll love it.
