Chapter 23 - Stand Tall

    Tree is playing another basketball game. I think the boys are trying their best, but the coach keeps on putting them down. I understand how much he's frustrated, but that's not what a coach is supposed to do. He's supposed to cheer them up and support them in anyway he can. The reason why the boys don't improve might be because the coach is not giving them enough time, confidence and trust. While Tree is helping grandpa with the shower, a big incident occurs. There is a floodwater coming! Tree is all by himself, and he has to help grandpa get out. Tree is really nervous, desperate and scared, but also brave to think of a way to get his family out.

    Chapter 23
    It seems that Tree is getting enough courage during gym class to speak straight up to Couch Glummer. I think it’s good that he’s finally learning something from Sophie to have the power to speak up for himself and for the rest of the people. At last he has something to look forward to, and his grandpa likes Tree’s help too. The evacuation of the town though, doesn’t seem like a good sign because they would have to leave their homes and I wouldn’t want to lose my most precious stuff like what happened to them. I hope that everyone is okay because if someone was hurt then it will concern everyone there.

    I think that tree is trying to do his best not to let the team down and I really give him props for doing for the ream, like what he said was really touching for the boys and I know that all the boys are going to thank tree for what he said to coach glummer, I grantee his coach was shock when tree said that and here is what he said, he said that all the boys are trying to pay attention but it is just the crowd that is making them feel really off on their shots and there lay ups.

    I think that Tree is starting to widen out and is really standing up for him. He’s proving to the coach that he is doing the right thing. He’s speaking up for himself which makes the team follow him. I think he did a great job in the game. Actually all of them did a great job. I don’t know why the coach thinks that it’s not enough power and strength out there. I think that he’s out of his mind. If he’s thinking like that, why doesn’t he just go out there instead and play for them. However, if I was in the middle of helping my grandparents taking a bath and a flood is heading our way, I think that I will panic and maybe leave my grandparents in the restroom. Tree was really brave for staying with the grandpa and helping him get dress. I don’t think I can be like that. I think am just going to run out the door and save myself.

    Tree is in another basketball game. It seems like the boys are trying their best, but I think the coach is the problem. He always pushes his boys and never give them confidence. I think the coach should give them more time, confidence, and encouragement. Confidence is one of the most important thing for the players. It makes them not to panic when it's in the real game. But this coach never does what he really supposed to do. His team would play better if they got more time and confidence.
