Chapter 21 - Friction

Alex sees Simon again for the last time. Do you think Simon has the right to be mad at Alex? What does he mean by this, "Behind every lie, there's some grain of truth." What would you say to Simon if you were Alex?

  1. Alex, also, decides to transfer to Lincoln’s and there is one thing that she must have done for Simon which is writing a letter that she is sorry for him, but Alex does not know what she say and how to start a word. However, Alex prepares herself for the new school and isolated with Tim soon. I have experienced this kind of feeling before when I was young, so I could totally understand Alex. It would be very nervous and exciting, because everything is new to her.

  2. Simon has the right to be mad at alex because all this time he thought that Alex is a honest person, which she is but why didn’t she be honest when the police was asking her questions about siomn? I think that it means somebody or someone that lies could tell the truth only if they want to tell the truth.. if I were really Alex I would say a lot of things to Simon and apologize for not being honest to the police when asking me those question, Simon right now is felling bad because his leaving the school but he has to because his reputation is gone bad.

  3. Ok for this I would say simon have the rights to be mad at alex because she never told him ever since he asked her if everything is alright but, no all she said was yes, everything is ok. So I would say simon have the rights to be really mad because if alex tell him something maybe he can help by talking to stacy or reporting stacy for what she’s doing. I think that what Simon mean when he mention something about the thing about behind every lie, theres some grain of truth is the might be something that stacy is lying about and maybe she is just using peoples name so she won’t put that person in trouble so it’s like it is a lie but at the same time the truth. If I were I alex I would tell him the truth and I’m sorry for not letting you know what was going on.

  4. Yes I do think Simon do has the right to be mad at Alex because, she knew the truth and she didn’t tell anyone. I think if Alex would’ve spoke earlier everything would be fine, and maybe things would be a lot easier to handle. About what Simon said, behind a lie theirs a grain of truth, maybe Stacy is lying for a reason, maybe she’s going through something and she just doesn’t want to say it, well, all I’m saying is that maybe he meant behind every lie there’s a truth somewhere. I’d tell him how sorry I am, beg him to stay, do something for him to stay, I’d break down and beg for forgiveness.
