Chapter 19 - Stand Tall

    Chapter 19
    I was so upset when I heard that Sophie’s locker was trashed. It had a sign that said “Garbage Girl.” I can tell that she knew who did it already. Of course it was Amber Melloncraft. I knew she’d get her revenge back on Sophie. This was way over the line. How could she do such a thing like that? Sophie couldn’t hold in her anger so she had to go up face to face with Amber and prove to her that she’s not backing down. I can tell that Sophie doesn’t let anyone step on her. She will do anything to make that person give up on her. I find her to be a very tough and brave girl. Sophie was really hurt about this because she went home and told everything to her Aunt Peach. I think that Aunt Peach is very helpful to her. I know how Sophie feels about going back to school because of what just had happened to her. I know I wouldn’t want to go back to school. I don’t want to be remembered as the “garbage girl” for sure. On the other hand, I would want to do something about it but, then, I don’t want to make the situation even worse than it already is.

    I knew Amber and that friend of hers were just stupid. I hate how they treat Sophie badly and even embarrass her by putting garbage on her locker because of the nickname they gave her. I just want to show them who’s the one in charge if I was there because I know they are just wimps waiting to be taught a lesson. Too bad it’s up to Tree and Sophie to try and figure out what to do with the school’s authority first because those older people are the obstacles on their path. I know I’m being mean saying that but I know well that there are people that can’t be reasoned with and need to be shown the right way.

    For me I think if I was Sophie I would have fought with all her friends and make all of them get what they deserve for what they did to me I think she is a girl with heart and I think that she can take everything in and then explode. I find her to be a very tough and brave girl. Sophie was really hurt about this because she went home and told everything to her Aunt Peach. And I find her very tough to just run in that class while a class was going on and just confront those girls that did that to her.

    Sophie had trash bags in her locker and I was so shocked. How can anyone do something this mean to a person? Sophie tried to be kind and she didn’t do anything wrong. This is so unfair and if there is anyone from our school that’s suffering through these kind of problems, then I think they should really tell someone about it. I can’t even imagine how hurt Sophie’s feelings were because of how she has to be treated by others. I think they’re just jealous of her. Tree would really be the kind of friend I would want. When he saw what happened he was worried and mad because he really cares for Sophie. Someone that stands out for me even at times when everyone turns their back on me is the type of friend I want. The way how Tree and Sophie interrupted a class because they were mad was a bad idea, but I think I would have done the same thing.

    Someone had put a sign of 'GARBAGE GIRL' in Sophie's locker. It's so childish and feels bad at the same time. She was so mad that she almost ran to Amber's class. And now, she's blamed for threatening a student. But, luckily the principal is nice that she understands Soophie.

    We were the first people in the door when they opened at noon, and as we sat through our meal, a good amount of people trickled in to the point where the dining room was about half full. On a random Saturday in the winter, that’s a good sign for a restaurant. What started as a bistro selling cheese plates and doing wine tastings a year ago has bloomed into a full-scale restaurant. And one that offers delicious foods at that!
