Chapter 21- All American Girl

If you were in Sam's place and the president gave you the freedom to choose any teen concerns (those that Sam mentioned), what project will you go for and why? Do you think any of these projects are more important than the others? How so?

    If I were Sam I would still pick that thing that Sam had picked. why? Well, because Sam had mention something that is really truly true and I respect that. I like that fact that Sam would just tell the president what she likes about the painting and I think she’s right. I think that the project is important somehow because it shows people around the world what they see every day out of their window. I think that it also show that the world is not as perfect as it is like the way other people says it. The painting that Sam pick was a great painting because the painter did really draw what she saw not what she want her world would look like. Everybody should know that the draw comes from what you see not from what you know.

    For me I would pick the painting thing because of course Sam likes Art and Painting so I think that she would enjoy judging the paintings because she knows what painting should look like and how it should be made. For me I would go for the project that Sam would pick because I enjoy art to but I’m not good at it so I would totally pick it, I think that the project Sam had chose is as important as the president because the painting shows what the real world looks like outside my window. I want to let the people know that the painting I have painted is the kind of picture I see outside my window every day.

    Hibiscus & Ancho Chile sauce – I nearly made a mistake with this sauce. I was about to grill up some shrimp and then serve the sauce as a dipping sauce for them. While this would have been adequate, after tasting the product I decided this wouldn’t have been a great pairing. This sauce begs for spare ribs. Slow cooked, either beef or pork, this sauce would be perfect (most likely better with the pork). Imagine having a sweet sauce that initially greets the tongue with sweet hibiscus flavor, only to follow through with a long finish of ancho chile. that dark, smokey and slightly spicey flavor just begs for the slightly nutty flavor of slow cooked pork, or the tender heartiness of well cooked beef ribs. While I don’t have any on hand to cook and show you all (I apologize in advance for this) I look forward to a time in a few weeks when I do have this available to make for myself! This sauce would also be great as an addition to a burger, or perhaps a heartier broiled fish, like salmon or potentially even something as strongly flavored as bluefish.

    The Chief, Arbiter and Guilty Spark discover that the Ark is constructing a Halo to replace the one that the Chief previously destroyed. The Chief decides to activate this Halo; the ringworld would eliminate the Flood infestation on the Ark while sparing the galaxy at large from destruction. To activate the ring, the Chief rescues Cortana, who has the Activation Index of the destroyed Halo, from High Charity and destroys the city. Arriving on the new Halo, Cortana warns that Gravemind is trying to rebuild itself on the ring. The Chief, Arbiter, and Johnson travel to Halo's control room to activate the ring. Guilty Spark explains that because the ring is not yet complete, a premature activation will destroy it and the Ark. When Johnson ignores his warning, Guilty Spark kills him to protect "his" ring. The Chief and Arbiter destroy Guilty Spark, activate the ring, and escape the ring's self-destruction on the UNSC frigate Forward Unto Dawn. However, the force of Halo's blast causes the slipspace portal to collapse, resulting in only the front half of Forward Unto Dawn, carrying the Arbiter, making it back to Earth.
