I’m confused with how the city of Ember came about, but in the beginning of the letter the old woman wrote, she mention about some kind of training or they were trying to isolate themselves but they also said something about scientist and they have proof that the world is doomed so they are trying to gather all engineers and scientist to work on this problem.. And before she left to the new world, she was instructed to leave all books and photographs behind and to never say anything about this place; I’m thinking its Ember. They’ll probably be ignorant the first time maybe they will think that this news is absurd or someone is just trying to prank them, however some will be curious and maybe follow the instructions. It’s good that the rock landed next to Mrs. Murdo because she one of the people who believe that there’s hope in getting out of Ember.
ReplyDeleteBecause the scientist and technologists knew that the world is in a danger, they tried to change and prevent the disaster. when I read the part they walked..down..I knew that the people were going to the underground world. People were not supposed to bring anyother belongings with them but the woman surreptuously brought a diary to describe where and how she went to the city of Ember.

I think people will listen to ms.Murdo because they all have a hope to get out of city of Ember..and the blackout.. If I were them, I would probably followed the notes because there wont be a harm to take an adventure when the place they live in is coming to the end.
I’m not really sure. But I think city of Ember’s begin is from her. The letter like how to go here and who was entering the city of Ember. I think Ember’s people have to listen for Lina and Doon’s note. Because they need food and light so, I think they are really want that….they listen to that note.

ReplyDeleteI think this chapter is going to be based on the message saying good bye to the city of ember I think they were gald that they are done with what they’ve been doing for the school so maybe there happy that they the time to do other things that they wanted to but their job was the one that hold them back well that what I think of the chapter
City of Ember was thought of to ensure the people of the earth won’t disappear. I guess they were wrong about the earth being doomed, because when they came out there were people. Although they did make a good place to be protected from anything from the outside, and they could live without the outside world was remarkable. I think that Mrs. Murdo will relay the message to everyone. Especially when she noticed Poppy, Lina, Doon is missing from Ember. I also bet she wouldn’t want to be stuck in Ember by herself, with the rest of the people, doomed.

I don’t know if the people of Ember will listen to the not, but if they want a way out of Ember then they should. If they want to get out of all the darkness and scarcity of Ember, then they should follow the note from Lina and Doon. Since the people of Ember want lots of food and light, they should listen, or just stay and be stuck in their city for the rest of their lives.

ReplyDeleteI think city of Ember was build at underground because builders thought it would be a safe place of people. So they decide to take people, child, and their belongings to the underground. Well they had no problem with living at underground for long years. And I think Mrs. Murdo will take people out of the Ember, because Doon and Lina is trustable children and some people know that Doon and Lina was seeking for the exit to other world. Although other people won’t listen, I think Mrs. Murdo and people who trust Doon and Lina will follow the direction.
