Describe Tree's brothers, Larry and Curtis. How is Tree different from his brothers? How would you feel if you were Tree?

  1. Chapter 9
Tree should at least practice more on other things or when starting something he should keep on continuing on with it. Just like his grandpa, whenever he does things; he keeps on striving until the job is done even with an amputated leg. I think it’s great that Tree’s family keeps on going but I’m not happy for Tree himself for not doing anything that he wants to do. I want Tree to do something he really enjoys and is actually really good at it that everyone is impressed. He shouldn’t make himself feel left out too, like what he did when his father and brothers were playing catch with each other. I hope that things would change for the better for Tree. If I were Tree then I would try to surpass my brothers and impress them once I got the things mastered, that way, I could never feel down as much.

  2. In this chapter I feel like tree is sensing something bad is going on he is thinking of how his grandfather served the Vietnam war and how he drove them from there and I feel really touched that he did that for them and I think they should thank him for always being Santa and I think they should just giving him the respect for what he has done for all the kids. And I think should just relax just think of the good times that his grandfather did for him and just look on the bright side for his grandfather.

  3. Larry and Curtis are both athletic. They love playing sports and they are good at it too. They won a lot of trophies and awards from playing sports. Larry plays harder than Curtis but Curtis has a lot of confidence. The problem is that Tree, on the other side, is not really good at sportsmanship. If Tree could change one thing about himself, he would want to be better at sports and shared it with his father like his brothers did. If I was in Tree's situation, I know that I would feel so left out and get so bored. I'd be watching them play but deep down inside I wished that I was there playing too.

  4. Just because you look different doesn’t’ mean it makes you any different from others. I think people tend to think bad about others because they just look different. I don’t think Tree is different; he’s just special. I know he has the abilities someone else doesn’t have. Tree’s grandpa is planning to be the Santa Clause for Christmas. The others are trying to stop him, but he wouldn’t stop. I think he wants to show the others that he can do everything others can do even though his leg is uncomfortable. He doesn’t want to be treated as a patient. Tree is still practicing for his basketball skill. When he sees his dad and brothers playing sports, he pretends like he’s okay. He looks left-out and lonely. I think he might be a little jealous too because he can’t join them. Tree' brothers Larry and Curtis is both very skilled in sports. Unlike them Tree is just tall and it's very hard for him to play sports. Well, if I was Tree I would feel kind of miserable because of the fact that I'm bad at the things my siblings are good at. I would feel like I'm useless and left-out.

  5. Tree's brothers, Larry and Curtis are both athletic. They are really talented sportsman who won lots of awards and trophies in sports. But Tree, Tree doesn't seems like he's a talented sportsman. I'm not saying that he must be good at sports just like his two brothers. Each people has their own special talents. Difference doesn't mean any bad, because we are all different. We are one of a kind throughout this whole world.
