Saipan Southern High School book club members and other island teens discuss their books of interest by writing their thoughts about the book choice of the month.
Samantha told Jack what happened yesterday at the Susan’s Art Studio and Jack just laughed over it. Sam got feel bad about Jack’s reaction, because she trust Jack so much and wished that he should be her side anyways. Also, Samantha told this her best friend Catherine and she understands Sam. Rest of this chapter was about what Samantha’s sisters had. Rebecca had intellectual knowledge and Lucy had nice aspects and cutest boyfriend in Sam’s thought, but Samantha had nothing except for art skill.
In this chapter I love the fact that Sam is not ashamed of jack which is Lucy’s boy-friend. Lucy is Sam’s older sister and Lucy gets to take the hottest boy in their school. Sam always says that Lucy is very Lucy but I think that Lucy is just fake, (once again I’m not trying to be rude). I love the fact that jack would comment or at least advice Sam on stuff she is having hard time with. I think that Lucy should be doing the advising thing not jack. I think that Lucy only care more of her looks than her boy-friend. I think that Sam should be Jack’s boy-friend instead of Lucy.
Samantha had told jack what had happened at the art studio, jack had laughed about it but Sam didn’t find that funny because she was trying to say that she was just trying to show Susan that she drew what she knew straight from the top of her head, Susan wasn’t actually mad about it she just told Sam that why didn’t she drew what she saw but instead she went ahead and drew what she knew instead of drawing what she knows. Jack told her things like advices that she should take. If I was Sam I would probably quit the art studio even if it’s not my wrong of being..
Maybe Jack has a very artistic talent and creativity himself, but he's not a professional like Susan Boone; she has her age, and she's probably more knowledgeable and wise than Jack is. I'm not saying that older people are smarter or that they're wiser, but Susan knows what she's saying- duh, she's getting money for her teaching. Her classes may sound a little unusual, but a pupil should not question her master! It seems that Samantha is always putting herself down, just because she doesn't have those valuable traits of her parents, like how her other sisters do. I think Samantha is unique in her own way, because she's a very fun, outgoing girl who has an attractive charm of herself.
Chapter four was pretty interesting. I like the part where sam was just introducing her famikly and where they stand. I thought it was funny how she thought she was a twin because she was told that lefties are usually paired as twins, they disappear so fast the mother doesnt even notice it. I thought htat was really funny. I also thought it was sad how she put herself as the middle child that never gets what she wants, and i thought it was funny how she said she was the kid most likely to end up a teen runaway, that was hilarious. I thought it was crazy how she was saying she could be a betterf boyfriend for jack than Lucy.
