  1. Doon’s job is pipe work. Doon discovered the generator, but that is not working well because it’s too old. But I think Doon is really like the generator because Doon likes electricity better than pipe work. So…. I think he want fix the generator. So he went to library in the City of Ember. And he enter the library and he saw two rooms. One room is imagination room. The second one is fact room. I think first room is person’s imagination and hope. I mean it can’t see with the eyes. And second room is fact room. World history and world event and everything is in the fact room. So, I think he’s going to the fact room. Because he want fix the generator so, I think he want to fix, so that is why he going fact room.

  2. Doon had a lot of discoveries in this chapter but nothing really important that could save Ember. he discovered three new crawling bugs and some store rooms which were empty. I think the library looks really old and the books are all probably dusty and maybe it smells old too. I don't think it has a lot of books that could help Ember, however children should go there they have a lot of fiction books and that’s one thing the children can do besides worry about Ember. I think the two places are not that interesting, it sounds boring and the library shouldn't be boring. The Pipe Works seem kind of hazardous; I wouldn't want to go down there.

  3. I know for sure that isn’t the exit to Ember. It’s too obvious, and if it were; people should have already found out about it. All I know is there’s something else there that someone in Ember is hiding from everyone. The pipe works seem very murky and dark, and easy to get lost around. It sounds as if there are still places that haven’t been discovered or have been forgotten about. Both the library and pipe works have probably been there since ever since, so it must really old. Also the library was just people’s thoughts and works, but really no solid explanation for some stuff.

  4. In this chapter, Doon discovered something. While he was at his job at the Pipeworks, he discovers a supply closet that appeared to be completely forgotten. The supply closet held some boxes of plugs , washers, and a rusty box containing bits of what might have been someone else’s lunch. At the far south end of the Pipeworks, Doon also found what he assumed was another supply closet. It had a sign saying not to enter, but he did anyway. He entered in but the tunnel ended in a locked door. He also found a square wooden panel that he thought must lead into the storerooms. The library in the city of ember had two rooms. One room was for fiction and the other was for facts. The library in ember seems like a really big one.

  5. Doon was so hard to work, whatever, he can’t find somewhere, but, he always was in charge. And, he has a good father, because his father always teaches him about how to work, and how look upon his work. When he went father and his father also into the pipeworks, he found something it is about closet. And found a square wooden. Yes, anybody all have curious, even Doon, if change me, I think I also do about that. The library in the City of Ember was so quiet, and just somebody there and the library have two big rooms, for fiction and fact. Because City of Ember always is dark, so fire in there is so rare, you can image it in your mind. If is I, if I have choose, I will chose the library, because library a place always quiet and better than a dark place.

  6. It seems like Doon is having an unexpected time which is far different than he had thought. He was trying to discover something that can help to save the city of Ember. I think it is impossible to find such an evidence because there is no light Doon can "SEE" and "INVESTIGATE" what it is. He is slowly discouraging by the fact that he can't find anything "important" in the darkness.

And also, the library Doon described was..hopeless. there is not enough information that can give an idea to Doon. Lack of books and book organizations made Doon harder and harder to approach what he desperately wanted to do through the pipe work.

The surroundings he is in right now have not brought any improvement so far..And I dont think they will.. It seems like Lina has to meet Doon with the paper she found in the box.

  7. Chapter 7 “A message full of holes”
well I think this chapter is going to be based on lina trying to solve so kind of words that are mix up I think she was trying to make a story out of the words that are mix up but she can get few words put together that’s what I think of the chapter

  8. Chapter 8, Doon seems like he is really willing to save the city. By the book, I can tell that Doon likes to discover new things; he walks through the tunnels with a map to discover something is interesting to him. Sometimes there were tunnels which weren’t on the made Doon more curious about the tunnels, but it was useless to help the city. He often went to the library to find something helpful to fix generator or help the city, but everything was useless, I think Lina’s document is what Doons is looking for, the document seems like it is some kind of instruction to help the city I hope.

  9. Doon just wandering the pipeworks made him discover so many things. It seems like he does want the city to survive with a very good life. He discovers so many things like plugs, wires and many more that he could use to fix some things. Then it says in the story that he goes to a library and finds things to fix the generator but the stuff were just useless. Well if I was doon I'd still be proud of myself because I tried my best to help the save the city. Probably another way that doon could get the work done is to get the paper that Lina has just so that he could get some information that probably the builders had left printed on that paper. But so far I dont think that doon could get the job done
right away to help the city.

  10. Mmmm. The pipeworks had him discover so much by wandering around. The library seemed kind of funny to me. There is an imaginary room and there is a fact room. They should just make it a Fiction or none fiction room. Doon should really be proud of what he is doing, the mayor of the city of ember seems to be the one who doesnt really have the urge to try and discover solutions. I give Doon props. Even if he doesnt find the solution, he should be proud, it was never his responsibility for that situation. But I guess a loving citizen of Ember hes doing what ever it is in his rights to TRY and resolve whatever the problem is. He and Lina are great characters.
