  1. Chapter 6
From this chapter, it seems that Tree really wants to be there at the welcoming party for grandpa. He really loves his mom but he just doesn’t know how to tell her in a way that she won’t think that Tree doesn’t like staying with her. I can see that he is really close to his grandpa. I find grandpa to be really fun to be with. Even though he is too old, he’s like a second father to Tree. Sometimes Tree’s father is not able to be there but grandpa is always on the other side next to him. Grandpa is a person who Tree can talk to and spend time with when he feels lonely. I noticed that Tree really enjoys being around with his grandpa. Also, grandpa sort of gives comfort to Tree. I think that’s why Tree feels happy whenever he’s around him. Tree, in a way, is always communicating with his grandpa. This bond between Tree and grandpa is solid. From what I’ve read, whenever Tree is with grandpa, he is more happy and enjoys being with him. It’s like he forgets all his problems when he is around him.

  2. This chapter is the touchy one because I don’t even know if tree want Christmas to happen or not it seem s like he wants Christmas not to happen. 0fir mw what the mom asked him I think it touched him because he comes from a broken family and I think what wants is for his family to be back and for them to be all good again like it was before for him and his brothers and his parents to. For me he should just make it happen so that he can stop thinking really hard and he should release himself from all the pain he is suffering from now.

  3. Chapter 6
Looks like Christmas is coming up and I don’t even know whether Tree is up for it or not. I guess he’s just as confused as I am about his own family being together or changing so much so fast around him. I guess that’s another thing about divorce; always going back and forth until you don’t know where or who to go to anymore. Tree’s grandpa is really experienced and strong from what I’ve think, like when he went through all those harsh situations when he had his leg off and sold his own favorite business. For me, I would have a very hard time letting that go for me when I love something; I find it very hard to be separated from it. Looks like Tree will have to go through this too.

  4. Tree’s mom is preparing for Christmas. I have a feeling that she’s trying to make it too perfect because she’s sorry about the divorce. I think she doesn’t want her children to fell like something is missing. When Tree leaves for his grandpa, she says she understands, but I don’t think she’s really okay. How can she be okay when her son doesn’t feel like being with her is being at home? I think Tree’s grandpa is a strong person. He had to go through all the tough times. He lost his leg, his wife, and has sad memories. He also has some weaknesses in him. I might be a fun person but that doesn’t make him the person he was before. Losing a leg a and a wife would be like losing everything. Tree and his grandpa really talk a lot. He tells him his past. I think his stories gives Tree comfort and makes him forget about his worries.

  5. The Christmas is coming. Tree's mom is preparing for it. When Tree leaves for his grandpa, she said that she's okay, but i don't think she really is. Think about same situation for you, you would like to stay together as a family. Tree's grandpa have been through many unfortunate happenings like losing leg, wife, and stuff like that. He must be really strong-minded person. And I don't think I could act same way as Tree to my grandpa. We are not that friendly as they are in the story.
