  1. Chapter 5
I know how Tree feels when he’s up there presenting his project in front of the class. I get so nervous and shaking at the same time. For Tree’s part, he actually did well. As for me, I get tongue twisted and I tend to stutter sometimes. I think his project was interesting and he deserves that “A”. So I just heard that grandpa is coming on Friday. I know Tree really feels right now. It can be so exciting when someone you’re very close to is finally coming home. On the other hand, dad actually had the chance to help Tree decorate for the “Welcoming Party” for grandpa. Tree was tied up with the schedule. He has to stay at his moms’ on the week of the welcoming party.

  2. I think that this chapter is really good because he is really questioning the class what is the of war its useless all were doing is just killing mankind and making the world just more unhappy because of our pollution and our unwillingness to get up and stop all this nonsense that we are doing . I think that tree has something good in him because of the things he said and all the things that he looked at and learned from he is a good person that should speak his mind out towards the class and the schools.

  3. Chapter 5
Wow. It seems that Tree is having a good week. Finally, he gets happiness to make his life worth it. I think luck has been brought to him and looks like they’re having a reunion with his brothers and his grandpa. I wonder why his mother wouldn’t at least come to visit too; I guess it’s because of the divorce that happened and couldn’t stand the sight of the husband. Oh well, luckily for me, my own family would never do that. I also question how Tree is so bad at sports and he’s really tall for a seventh grader! He should practice more so that he’ll be able to see that he has potential and skills to impress everyone who doesn’t think well of him.

  4. Tree did a presentation at school about war. I think he is smart and has many ideas. He is shy but has the courage. The question ‘was the war worth it?’ was a question I also thought about. I know I’m young and I’ve never been there, but I can imagine how sad it would be to lose family and friends. I think Tree’s grandpa has a lot of sad memories from the war, especially because he lost his log. Fighting in the war is really hard. I think you can’t do it unless you really love your country. Tree’s basketball skills are still not improving. I think he’s kind of stressed because his brothers are good but he’s not.

  5. Tree had presentation about war at school and I know how that feels like. shy and nervous, shaking both hands and legs. However, Tree did a fantastic job. Tree's basketball skills are not improving, maybe getting worse. I think it's because of his mind. If you think you can, and try your best, it must improve, never stays same. Even though his brothers are good, he need to think that he could be better if he tries.
