I think it’s good that Tree tried out for the basketball team. He’s really tall and I think that he will make it in for the team. Also, I can tell that Tree is really close to his grandpa. He’s always visiting him and he just can’t wait until his grandpa gets out of the hospital and comes home. I realized that he talks to his grandpa more than his dad. I can understand that Tree’s dad is always busy taking care of his store. But I know he wants to be there with Tree and grandpa. I wonder how Tree feels when his dad is never been around him much. Also I wonder how it will affect him later in the chapter. Or will his dad ever have the time to spend time with him alone, like father and son?

  2. So in this chapter a lot of potential in tree because every time he misses a shot he goes back and just keeping trying and his coach said something cool it doesn’t matter about your height it but it all matters I the person. I think tree has lot of potential because he is strong and he is tall and I think you can do anything you want and you can become anything just don’t give up and have faith. For me tree should practice and practice so that he can become a great player in basket ball and it whatever sport he loves.

  3. Chapter 4
I guess that Tree is still on the verge of his life where he questions how or why things are the way they are and why are they so important. I did that to when I was in junior high school; I always ask things and how they came into being, some were answered but most weren’t. The only time when I knew many things was when I started going to high school. It’s true that when you’re older you know more about life and the world, and when you’re young then it’s time for them to develop their minds. So Tree should also find out more about what’s going on around him so that he wouldn’t be lost all the time. Tree is affected by his parent's divorce. If I were Tree I would have a hard time keeping it all in for one day.

  4. The basket ball coach at school has seen Tree’s talent in sports. I thought he would be good because he’s so tall. He seems qualified for sports. I think Tree might be able to forget all his sad memories as he plays basketball. I can also help him to go to college later. Tree’s grandpa is practicing to walk because he’s half-legged. I can imagine his pain from just reading the book. Meanwhile, Tree is trying to make a basket, but he can’t. It might be bad now, but I’m sure his skills will improve. As soon as he makes a basket, I think he’ll be really good. He might become a basketball star sometime. He has to believe in himself and not give up. Tree's family include his grandpa, his dad, his two brothers and his mom; but his parents are divorced. They all seem to love Tree very much. I like his grandpa the most. He's funny and knows a lot of things. The greates conflict Tree's family has would be his parents' divorce. Not only Tree but also his brothers are affected by it. I think Tree doesn't express his feelings and became more quiet because of his parents. He doesn't know how to recovr his heart. I would absolutely be affected by my parents' divorce. I would want to see them and I would become more quiet also.It would be hard for me to spend a good time with others because I'm so sad.

  5. I think it's so good for Tree to be in basketball team. He might be playing as center for his team, because his tall height. It could be one way that he could get rid of stress and the sadness. I think all his family loves Tree even though the parents are divorced. He also has really nice grandpa. If I were Tree, I would get affected by parents divorced at least little, but I would be trying really hard to be bright and enjoying the basketball to get over the sadnesses.
