Chapter 3 - Friction

Does the character mentioned so far seem real to you? Are they someone that you can relate to or can identify with? Why so?

  1. One of the great things that I like this story is about the soccer. I love to play soccer the most among the sports in the world for same reason as the narrator does: being sweaty and talking back and forth to other players. The one thing that I feel really bad for this kids that the school is not big enough to play soccer widely. They do not even have a perfect field to play like other schools surround them. However, as they can not wait for the league, I do so too.

  2. Chapter three didn’t really have much going on. They just pretty much talked about their soccer game and how they can’t challenge private schools, because there in public school that’s who their supposed to compete against. I’m starting to get the picture about Stacy. She’s like the smart mouth kind of girl. She disses the boy’s and it kept them to keep their mouth shut, they were all in shock. I think Stacy is hooked on Simon. I have a feeling something is going to happen between the two of them, but then again I could be wrong, that’s just my prediction.

  3. As days went by Stacy sort off got use to the class; the class was talking about a school a private school that they think is so cool to go and attend, Stacy told one of her classmate” and it was a boy she was talking”, she told the boy that if he was to attend these school called LINCOLN he would be the type of boy who would be always be beaten up and all sorts of things negative would happen to him they. “if I myself was being told things like this I would probably check it out myself so that i really want to check if LINCOLN is that crazy”.

  4. I think it’s kind of funny and nice to not have a cafeteria. The funny thing is there are no bells, there are no gym and I think it’s cool but sometime it makes me think that school is poor or something. For me this chapter is kind of alright because I love the way that Alex explain her school. It makes me think that it’s just a day care or something. I kind of like this chapter because it makes me wish it’s my school. I hope that those students that go there learn something. I like the fact Saimon would actually take a time just so he could teach some of this student that goes there to learn…

  5. This chapter was kind of boring because they talks about schools and soccer game. But it still makes me interesting when they talked about school because there were no bells, no gym and no cafeteria. I guess that school is poor and doesn’t have any support. And it was so funny when Stacy made other boys to become silence. I think Alex really like to play soccer and I think they can’t even wait until they play soccer in private-school league. And it was funny when Stacy told them about her school and I guess she doesn’t like that school because she told them teachers are bad as the kids and kids are a bunch of idiots.

  7. The characters in this book do seem real to me. And no. Not one of the characters in this book can be someone I can relate to. I don’t really like playing soccer, or I don’t like playing soccer at all. I am very different from Alex, Stacy, and everyone else. I think that their school is one of those schools that are poor. They have no gym, no cafeteria, and no bells.
