Chapter 3 - City of Ember

Does the character mentioned so far seem real to you? Are they someone that you can relate to or can identify with? Why so?

  1. She seems pretty real to me. I cant relate her to me, but I can relate her to some of my friends.Lina kind of reminds me of a friend of mine. In a way though. My friend loves to run and she also loves relaying messages. But Lina is not someone I can relate to at all, shes into exploring and running. Im more into staying indoors. Its not that I dont love exploring, but I just HATE HATE HATE RUNNING. I just hate the thought of always running, I prefer being home. I admire her love for running and to be adventurous and take chances, but that kind of job is not for me. She can relate to most of my friends who love to do what she does. But I can say that Lina is pretty good at what she does.

  3. I think that is not real. Because Doon has pipe works. But I think that the job is only fixes the pipe. So, they are not real story and but pipe works very interesting. Because Doon has a mop so I around the way that is very interesting part and think do in my elementary. Because when was in I elementary I liked adventure. For like that story…but I don’t like darkness. Because when I was young, I’m go to the theater and enter the inside…I think I go some where. But that place really really dark and scare so…I’m go back to my family. That memory was really scare for me…..so, I go some around but I don’t like darkness. So, Doon looks like me…but little different.

  4. Always, she always continues to make her job, and whatever she never complains about that, because she like that work. Buy the way, in this story also have another main character, it is Doon, a boy who switch his work with Lina. This chapter is talk about it is Doon first day went to work, and that is so exciting. From here, let us knows about we would make our first day of when you get a job, whatever it is so hard or anyways, but, you should be solve it. Also Doon, the first of his work, also have so many thing or trouble, like he don’t know how to use the generator, but, nobody can help him, he want to depends himself. Also have something with his father, but, in last, he also solves it. Yes, also is a strong boy. That is right.

  5. Lina seems real to me and all the other characters do, except that they live in a city know one knows about. I don’t think I can relate to any of the characters though. Lina is the kind of person that’s active and Doon likes to explore bugs. I’m not the kind of person who likes to run around and rely messages; by the time I get to that person I’ll probably forget what the message was. I’m not really use to working and running around, I’m more of the indoor type of person who likes to work in the office. None of the characters relate to me so far, however Both Lina and Doon are SMART and so am I :]

  6. She’s very seems entirely real to me. She has an ambition for more, than settle for less. Living in a time of shortage, who wouldn’t want to get out of it? I’m sure she can relate to everyone and me too. I have the determination to get a good job and help people, and like her she wants to get out of the City of Ember and help others. It’s human to want better for yourself and anyone important around you. I can relate to Doon also, because Doon enjoys the interesting things people don’t notice. He is vigilant in things around him, not just the shallow appearances. Like me, I have a resolution to solve problems when it bothers me, or when I am just bored I create a problem out of it and fix it.

  7. Ch. 3 (Under Ember)
This chapter basically tells us how Doon starts a first day at his job, the pipe works. First days of jobs are really exciting. Sometimes it is also how you really deal with it. But on what I think, probably Doon will try his best to get things worked out well as long as he can do it. Doon could do many things but maybe he would learn even more ion the way.

  8. This chapter was really long and boring. I didn’t really find this chapter all that interesting. It was just mainly about the character, Doon’s first day at the Pipeworks. I don’t think that Doon will know exactly how to fix the generator right away. Other people have been working there for almost their whole lives. I don’t think that Doon will figure it out in a day or two. I think that he is a very smart person and is able to fix a lot of things, but I think that it’s going to take him a while to figure out how the generator can be fixed.

  9. Chapter three..although Doon is not satisfy with his pipe works, I can tell that he is working hard and willing to help the city. He was curious about everything, when nobody was around him and he used a map to find new thins which aren’t discovered. What he wants was to help fix the ancient generator which is a big problem for the city right now. Ancient generator sounds like it will not last long for the city and once generator is halt, the city of Ember will lose all the light. Without light, Ember is just a dark continent.

  10. This chapter was about Doon. It seems like his job is pretty much risky and dangerous, but his attitude toward the pipe-work was very positive and I liked the fact that he actually think he can work for something that is useful for others. This chapter depicted the environment Doon worked in..and the environment was not what Doon had imagined. Doon described the sound tons of water as a thunderous, heart-stopping roar. And there is no doubt that his job is not simple as that of others. And by doing this job, Doon learned that the city was in even worse shape that he’d suspected. It was awful to know the truth of where he actually lives in because there might be worse situation than what he just found out. Also, I felt bad because is seems like Doon put himself in trouble when I read the part if he wanders, them he will get lose. That was pretty scary…He works with devoting his own life for others. For the worse, he did not listen to what Arlin said..and worked independently.

  11. How is Marine Phytoplankton 5000 grown?
Our Phytoplankton is grown using reactor technology, which means that it is grown in an enclosed system, in a pharmaceutical grade sterile environment. It is grown in a bed of purified ocean water from the Atlantic Sea, while protected from any outdoor pollutants or contaminants.cheap prom dresses
